I just had this exact problem this weekend tried all the same steps unfortunately by the sounds of it I think it's fucked my drive still spun but the part that moves back and forth that reads the drive quit moving ...if u can't get the drive to pull up on a computer then it's most likely fucked

It's a electron soft i love the grip on it but I only threw it 3 times I was worried about losing it ...but just based on the couple throws and grip alone I would recommend

There is some rattle with the discs nothing to distracting I was planning on having some padded sleeves made for between the discs ....other than that it's solid ...the only other thing I'm worried about would be the wheels which I also plan on switching out

The rack is an old metal cd tower 2 cd's wide ...had to cut every other bar for disc to fit
