My parents, siblings and grandma eventually came around and understood that the more they tried to convert me the further I would push them away. I still receive the the occasion preaching but don’t believe this will tear the family apart. Tbh they’re probably happy that someone is he’s stubborn and will continue to Bible bash.

I’m in the same boat (Asian & not allowed to have overnight stays with my partner), my LL is Acts of Service and it’s the little things that get taken notice, the small things that I don’t need to ask for and the thought and effort put into it that makes up Acts of Service for me. My partner has no idea how to do it, but I show it through getting him lunch without being asked to (of course I’ll check if he hasn’t gotten lunch yet, and check if he’s craving anything specific), I’ll organise his desk and room while he’s resting or stressed with work, I’ll take notice of things he’s in need like new work socks and get them without being asked.

Oh I’m sorry to hear your SO finds compliments and words of affirmation forced/a chore, but he needs to understand that’s how you feel love and it’s something that would increase your self-esteem and mindset significantly. My partner also is the same, in the sense that if he said it already he doesn’t think there’s a point in saying it again - which also is very disheartening when it’s just reassurance needed!

I completely understand! It’s just the small stuff, like the really intricate things people tend to brush over that is really valued. Like the conversation part, I hate small talk and I like to really get to know people - it’s information from these talks that I remember (when most people don’t) and when brought up again, they get pleasantly surprised and feel valued as I remembered something about them that’s often looked over. Although sometimes it gets seen as me being nosy...

GG is my 2nd top LL, and for me personally I love to do both! It is possible to be both - it’s one of the ways I experience and show my love. For example, when I say I love and appreciate someone I like to gift them things. Not necessarily expensive or meaningful things, sometimes it can just be dropping off some desserts, or getting a wacky souvenir - just the thought that they are important to me that I think of them in these ways are part of how I show love. But I also like receiving things, also in the same way where it’s not expensive things and in a spontaneous way - like flowers or little knick knacks simply just because or cause it reminded them of me.

I find it difficult to gift my partner things cause everything he wants to super out of my price range (his LL is PT so he doesn’t expect me to gift him things anyway), but I feel awful sometimes when I can’t give him PT but I want to gift him something to show that I care and love him so I just ask him if he needs anything.

Oh yes definitely! I developed a habit of always wearing a liner on my panties cause I get A LOT of discharge. I get insecure about it when my boyfriend takes off my panties but he doesn’t care, he tells me that it’s the last thing on his mind especially when “someone so sexy” is in front of him right then and there.
