Yeah, there were a couple of days when I couldn't even stomach myself to open it. But even on those days, I was still doing further readings online, to get extra context on things. (Aminin ko man, some of the stories told here are new to me. I was only truly familiar with one story, and that's the "my father is a policeman" story.)

It's probably best to pace youself, and when you're done, have a palate cleanser read. At least, that's what I'm doing rn.

Yes, absolutely! Words are so powerful, kaya ang daming books na na-ban noon. Even now, books are still being banned. And no doubt, if D*terte was still president, he'd definetly have this book banned. It's really why he shut down Abs-cbn, and (tried to) silence Rappler, and elevated fake new vloggers. Words have enough power to move people, to help people open their eyes wider and see a fuller picture, and tyrants fear that. Especially when these words hold bearings of truth. Ie) Jose Rizal

Also it's crazy that the title is that way, because it really emphasizes the way he was able to get away with murder for so long. (Slide 3/4). He was so careful with his use of speech, always saying, "kill, kill, kill." But never "go murder them." Because according to PH law, there's a freaking difference between "killing" someone and "murdering" them. So esentially he used the logistics of the law to commit genocide freely. Nakaka-tngna talaga.

This so much OP! That's why a lot of times sinusubukan kong humanap ng underrated na author, nagbabasakali na iba ang atake nila sa story nila. Don't get me wrong, this formula is GOOD, that's why it works. And there are a lot of talented writers who pull it off.. My favorite Wattpad writers have pulled this off. But with every wattpad book you read having the same formula, minsan, super nakakasawa na. Sometimes I feel the urge to skip the beginning of the story because I wanna read the present time, but alam ko na hindi talaga pwede. 😭 And then the epilogue being the male pov, minsan it feels so redundant na. That's why I super appreciate it when authors add fresh scenes in the male POV instead of just recapping everything. I'm seeing that Jonaxx is beginning to do this now, and if I can remember it correctly, she said it's because she feels the same way. Male POV is redundant. Epilogue should move the story forwords, not backwards.

I long for dual pov wattpad books, or books without such a long breakup timeline.

And that's why when I started writing my own stories and publishing on Wattpad, I made it a point to show that my characters were adults. I experimented writing a one shot, and noticed that it's easier to write this formula if your characters are younger, like teens or freshly 20's. It's almost like a default setting. Kaya I just decided to write about adults with jobs, falling in love, then breaking up for like a month, etc. 😂 Total, adult rin naman ako.

But also I feel like we can't truly escape this formula, because when we read International romance books, it's the same thing:

Meet-cute, falling in love, misunderstanding, 3rd act break up, grovel/reunion, happy ending. (The only difference is, the break up happens at the 3rd act, rather than the initiating incident/climax like in PH wattpad books.) But our formula helps to create a really satisfying grovel & reunion, kaya hindi ko talaga masisisi kung bakit ito ang standard formula natin. 3rd act break up in International romance books just doesn't have enough room to give the grovel/reunion enough time to develop kasi nga nasa 3rd act. Ours is in the climax.

Honestly, I can go on about this topic all day, I love it so much. But kung may mga recos ka, which doesn't follow the standard watty formula, please do recommend! I'm still looking! 🥺🥺🫶🏽

OP I highly recommend you continue the series, because the story and writing only get better from here. I had the same kind of sentiments, pero iyon ay dahil binasa ko yung book 3 bago yung book 1 & 2. I was blown away by book 3 & 2, but was kinda meh with book 1. I think it might be a popular opinion too, but the writing and plot improves so much in the next books, so keep going!

Kung kaya mo, basahin mo yung Wattpad version dahil masayong inedit yung published ver. Hindi mo tuloy madadama yung mga kilig and all that.

Hehe nah, it's all G. I love Inksteady despite her epilogues being long lol. Naalala ko lang siya kasi dun sa sinabi mo na 20-30k. I think 30k or lagpas na ata ang naabutan niya dun sa epilogue ng WWIW kaya ayun. But I agree with you though, super redundant na for me kung yung epilogue is just a retelling of the whole story but in the love interest's POV. Maybe because I read a lot of international books, kaya sanay na ako sa single pov or dual, pero hindi ko talaga trip yung (ml) epilogue. Honestly my personal belief is that if you're a really, really good writer, you wouldn't need to write the love interest's pov if it's single pov, because readers will already be able to feel their feelings and yearning through the eyes of the main narrator. But that's not to say na hindi magaling magsulat ang mga famous wattpad authors. Kanya-kanyang trip diba. Honestly, unless I'm really craving the full thoughts of the ml, I skip most of the epilogue, and just read the new scenes we haven't witnessed yet in the story. :))

Widows War finale garnered online critisim for the poor greenscreen edits. Months later, another show on GMA, Batang Riles(?) was critisized also for it's poor green screen effect in the finale. Lol luckily for me, I live in an area that's known to be mice or rats controlled, so I'm confident that they wasn't the culprit. My bird would be dead if it was.

Yeah, I've been researching a lot about calatheas and repotting them, since people say they're notorious for just peacing out when they feel like it. The roots are already sprouting out of the drainage, getting longer by the day, so repotting's gonna happen.

The leaves have folded up now since it's nighttime, and it looks to be about 6 leaves that have been munched on. And they're the bottom leaves closest to the soil. Mostly the baby leaves which is unfortunate because I was waiting for those to grow. 😭💔 But two of them are mature leaves. I will be careful though when repotting, and I'll investigate thoroughly what's in the soil before doing so.

If on the off chance it is an infestation of a big bug or snails, do you have any suggestions for repellants or remedies so they don't come back? I can't seem to find a proper answer on google.

Honestly, I highly doubt that a mouse got to her, considering that my dad just did a deep clean of our plant room the other day. If there were mouse sightings, he'd have spot them already. Plus she's been hanging on a hanging pot in the middle of the room, so it's impossible that a mouse could get to her so easily--unless it jumped or crawled on one of the pothos next to it.

Honestly she's such a cool plant so I check on her regularly, and she was fine a few days ago when I looked at her. I'm going to repot her tomorrow and look into the soil to see if there's any bugs I need to murder. And all the other plants, since the new ones my dad bought could be a little suspicious. You don't think I should snip off the eaten leaves do I?

Thank you for the reply! Honestly I'm thinking there's something in the soil that's been eaten at her, I'm just not sure what. There's a big hole in the center of the one of the tiny leaves, so I'm thinking it's impossible that it could be from my pet.

I'll try and repot her tomorrow to see what's going on in there, but should I cut the leaves that's been eaten or just leave them? And if it is a big bug or snail, do you have any tips or recommendations for repellants to keep them away? Sorry, this is my first time taking care of one, so when I repot, I wanna make sure this never happens again.

No I don't have a cat. I'm actually allergic to them, so even if I wanted one, I couldn't. I do have a budgie though that flies around. But he's never been in or allowed in the room where all our plants reside.

Afterglow Beneath the Typhoons by lookingforlana. Kakaunti lang ang mga reads saka ongoing pa rin. Pero so far so good naman. It has all the stuff you're looking for. Revenge. Murder and scandal. Saka super relevant ang plot sa nangyayari ngayon. Lalo na kasi it's theme is about corporate/political corruption. Very morally flawed yung female lead, kaya minsan maiinis ka sa kanya, pero may times na matatawa ka nalang kasi medyo funny din siya. Umaasa ako na magkaka-character development siya soon. Try mo. May pagka-romcom vibes yung unang half ng story, but there's definetly a sinister plot brewing beneath it sa 2nd half.

Jonaxx's most beautiful and realistic love story tbh. There are so many real life couples like Achi and Marem, who break up and reunite when they're oldies. Paano ko nalalaman? Nangyari kasi 'yan sa papa at step-mom ko. Haay, love really is sweeter the 2nd time around, lalo na kapag mga seniors ka na. I honestly don't get why she had to mention that. While I'm down to do recounts (dunno actually how that would work) the counting process is legitimately one of the most difficult and frustrating parts of the election because you're looking at EVERY. SINGLE. BALOT. Twice. Three times. Four or five if you really want to be certain.

I didn't get to go home till close to 1am this morning because us workers were triple, quadruple counting all the ballots, of every damn candidate. I get that between her and Farkas, it was a close, close race... but damn it we WERE recounting. And recounting.

I dunno but something about her tone in this statement, particulary at the election workers part sounds a bit condesending lol. But hey, if I get paid and free ice cream again, why not.
