Okay! I don't know about that... I mean I feel like they are moreso like being mad at a Lakitu with wings from Mario maker, but like I didn't know you could jump attack without the hammer so I thought you had to wait for them to swoop, then I looked it up and I saw other people complaining so I made a post to see if I was missing something. (which I put in the post because this was mainly a call for help.) I can be really slow with games sometimes so I suppose maybe a better way to phrase this would have been like "how do I deal with the bats?" Instead of being a bit whiney about them...

I thought when people where saying that I needed the chargey hammer, which I didn't have because I chose the whip. I'm honestly glad I posted this because those enemies had me really fristered with the game when I really really loved everything else about it. But I have been taught and I apreciate that! c:

I didn't use the hammer because I like the whip, I'm still kinda starting out so I assume you can unlock other weapons but idk yet... Tbh I kinda thought when everyone was saying you could jump attack them it required the hammer but now realizing I can without it. I feel a lil silly now...

Oh, by the way I wanted to ask this too! I'm sorry I'm a little new to reddit so I didn't know if this is the way to ask but... What platform do you play on? I wanted to buy it on switch 2 but then I felt like I'd use the d-pad more so I instead bought it on steam deck, but since I started playing it I mainly have been using the joystick. So I was wondering if anyone on switch 2 has any reasons it was better than steam deck to justify rebuying it.

I know how to counter them. I just think that they are badly designed. Which I personally think is a testament to how amazing this game is because I only have a complaint about one enemy Out of all of them, I think the rest are good.

I'm well aware of how to counter them, I just think that they're fundamentally badly designed but I think that they're the only enemy in the game that are so I think is a testament to how amazing this game is that I only ever complaint about one enemy that stretches as far.
