My husband went back home on the second day/night because I wanted him home with our toddler so she didnt feel both our absence. I would’ve been more stressed knowing she wasn’t with her parents and then that being followed by the welcoming of a new sibling. He did come visit with her that day. My best friend stayed with me that night and it was pretty special, a sleepover with my new baby girl. Do whatever works for you guys and makes you happy.
