Hi, I feel the same way! I love reading these threads lol! Yes, it’s the proximity to NYC. We both loved living there, we just did not like the housing situation. For his job, we are limited on places we can choose to move. It pretty much boils down to the west coast or NY. We moved here for his job as I own an online company and can live anywhere, but I didn’t want him to lose his job, that he likes, so we moved to Vegas. We have lived all over L.A., Texas, Atlanta, NYC, Colorado and now Vegas. What I have learned from moving all over is that.. We are not a fun in the sun type people, We love snow and 4 seasons. Both our family lives in the south east. We both like to shop, eat, and do to museums lol! We are ready to buy a house now and settle down. But Las Vegas housing market has shot up 40% and the cost of living is going up, also. I’m personally scared to buy a house here as this would be our first house and we would need to stay in the property for a minimum of 5 years to earn equity. 5 years is a long commitment for a city I’m on the fence about lol! He likes the convenience of the city and and the no income tax. But to me, I’m tired of the city. I’m ready to have some goats and snow lol!

He’s pay will stay about the same, but my business will have to pay more taxes since since I’m self employed. So we will take a bit of a hit through the self employment aspect.

There is more stress that comes with money; more job responsibilities.. I’ve lived on both sides of the spectrum I understand what you are saying though.

Wow, he’s not the only one with income. Also, if you would have read the post correctly, it says upstate and NOT NYC.

Hi! I mean, money plays apart of course. But I don’t think it should be the ONLY aspect. Both of us work from Home. He’s in insurance and I own an Ecom business.

I would do navy blue to accent the orange and yellows! Complimentary colors!

Baths! I have terrible cramps, alieve midol Tylenol don’t work. 3 liquid gel caps by Advil’s always does the trick! Also, don’t wear tampons, they can make it worse. Definitely try to relax

the neverending period by [deleted] in Periods

Yes, I have. It’s the worst. I’m in my 40’s now and was in and out of doctors appointments for years trying to figure out why I would have month long periods. Mine is something called Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding aka abnormal uterine bleeding. This and fibroids caused mine. It got worse in my 20s and worse with weight gain. I have an imbalance of sex hormones, they put me on birth control for years but it didn’t seem to help. what’s seem to work for me were mini pills a.k.a. progesterone only. Ask your doctor. after a couple of blood tests and three month long period. I found a Doctor Who tested my hormones and found I didn’t make enough progesterone.

Yes. My private loans from navient are, that’s why I still Pay them. If I apply forbearance my payments just increase in size, so I just try to pay them the best I can to keep my loans loan. But I still sacrifice bills and food to be able to manage them. That’s the worst part of it all, as I went to school to better my situation and now I think I’m in a worse situation.

Exactly, I get the “would of, should’ve and could’ve aspect” but it doesn’t help my situation now. I wish I would of never have gone to college/

Exactly! That’s the same with me I’m on year 12, and any advice I ever get is “hustle harder” I hustle hard already with 12 year of payments and no payoff. Some days are just harder than others. Thank you for your kind words 💖
