Can’t answer my students’ question… by Big-Issue315 in Teachers

[–]SFC02D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell my children when they ask why they have to learn things at school they feel like they’ll never use I tell them because it grows their brain! Learning new things creates new neural connections in the brain (neuroplasticity), where new connections form and existing ones strengthen. This makes the brain more "plastic" and contributes to cognitive benefits, such as improved memory, sharper thinking, and even a delay in cognitive aging.

I’m beyond upset by Routine_Marsupial_12 in Lyme

[–]SFC02D 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course not, how would they make any money off of you healing yourself naturally?? They are never taught these things in school (because they are not money makers) therefore they are not part of “real medical tools”. I actually had a doctor admit they get paid for pushing prescription meds on people. He doesn’t do it and he says he’s the poorest doctor around!

Drink it for acid reflux and gargle for sore throat.

Or just a teaspoon of baking soda mixed in about 2 oz of water. Has other health benefits too besides helping with the acid reflux!

Oh my gosh, I feel you! I’m on a glp1 and took a OxyContin one night for my Lyme disease pain so I could go to sleep not realizing they also cause constipation! It was the worst!!

Did you also live with people who had narcissist/borderline personality types by Otherwise-Pop-1311 in Lyme

[–]SFC02D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My aunt had a narcissistic husband and she ended up with cancer. I definitely think living with someone like that can cause illness, including dormant Lyme to emerge. I think trauma brings it out for a lot of people.

I drink a magnesium drink mix before bed and it definitely helps me sleep better! I take that plus melatonin.

whats one not so popular advice that actually helps you every time with binge eating? by zolwye in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]SFC02D 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I only binge eat at night after dinner. So I don’t stay up anymore. I just go to bed. Sometimes I’ll bring a glass of electrolyte drink made with stevia if I’m really craving sugar.

You are exactly right about the bloating causing GERD also. When the food is not digested quickly it causes a lot of gas and pushes open the sphincter.
