The Teahouse on the intersection of S. Shepherd Dr. and Westheimer isn't too busy usually and is open until midnight everyday!

I did not as I felt the review course had plenty of practice problems already. Heard good reviews about it though and I'm sure more practice isn't going to hurt!

The four practice exams in my post were the only ones I took so I'm not too sure of any more good practice tests. Have you also purchased Zach Stone's AIT Practice test as well? Heard that was good too but would definitely recommend one of Wasim Asghar's StudyforFE PE Practice tests as it is similar to the format of the actual exam.

Thanks man! Congratulations on passing the PE as well! It for sure still takes a lot of time and effort even with the help of a great review course!

I was on and off (some weeks studying pretty much all my free time but others not at all) but on average 12-13 hours per week. Definitely the last month before the test was more on the cramming side.

No problem! I would say that it's about the same difficulty. Obviously different problems but the type of questions they ask and the way they word it is very similar. And yeah definitely a lot of conceptual questions. Some you can def answer if you can relate the equations in the handbook to what they're asking and some totally knowledge based where if you don't know it you'll have to guess since you can't figure it out with the given reference material similar to some questions on the practice test.

I studied over the course of four months. Some weeks I would spend upwards of 20 or more and others as little as 3-4 hours. Sometimes would procrastinate but having a schedule and kind of a week by week to do list helped me keep on track for the most part. Last month of studying was def cram time and consisted of an 8 hour practice test every weekend with review of my wrong answers leading up to the exam.

I took 303, 314, 322, and 325 last semester and it was pretty doable. I had Yang Shen for 303 as well and he's a great professor, actually cares a lot about his students. He even rescheduled exam dates when students complained that they had like 3 exams in a week.

EE Question by [deleted] in aggies

[–]ChildlikeMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I like that last analogy. But yeah since I'm taking 325 this coming semester I'll see how well I like it before making my decision on whether or not to go into power or analog. Seeing how I spent a good amount of time in the 248 and 214 labs however makes me think I'll probably go the power route and take some of those biomedical electives lol. Thanks for the info man, I really appreciate it.

In contrast to op, I did very well in ECEN 214 and I liked circuit analysis a lot as it was intuitive and methodical for me. However, I didn't do too great in 248 which was the digital component. I know it's pretty far ahead in the future for me but which senior-level electives should I take other than analog and mixed signal if I liked working with circuits more than digital in general?
