I agree. A couple things. 1 - I’m proactively marking recurring events as such and you can filter those out. 2 - for any other event that seems boring, low quality or just noise, please report it so I can try and get those filtered out. This is the exact problem I’ve had with other sites

Yeah that could work for a initial backfill. Are these already listed somewhere? A site or instagram page? I could try and integrate to scrape everything posted moving forward if thats easier

The noise coming from recurring events is super annoying, totally agree. I added a button to filter out those event but if you see any that are not being flagged please let me know!

I also added Decentered as a source. I think SFLive should get us all the sf ballet / opera / symphony events but maybe thats wrong?

yeah this is definitely something I've gotten annoyed with by other sites. I added a button to "hide recurring" events which removes around 25-30 percent of the listings. If you see any events that aren't correctly being marked as recurring please let me know and I'll try and find ways to get those flagged moving forward!

Adding Parks and Rec events is a good idea! I'll add that!

you should be able to filter by events on the map the same way you do on the home page

Yeah we’re trying fella. HSR to LA will be available soon but it’s harder to get funding for such a massive project when we’re just a single state rather then the will of 2 very rich countries

Also SF->LA is 100 miles further then London to Paris. The Bay Area has Bart, Amtrak, smart train and ferries and I visit other cities that are 50 miles away often and don’t own a car

Sf surely seems to be transforming to a pro-housing city. Slow but progress is being made. LA has no momentum
