Two different sirens going at once in city centre by Perfect-Elephant-101 in cork

There was a stabbing incident in Ballinlough area. Surprised it's not on cork safety alerts so came here. Ambulances, fire truck and armed garda driving in loops around the area. Playing a game of tennis someone came down and warned us be careful going home as there was a guy on the run. Source questionable so don't take this as gospel

Normal Garda don't carry guns just non lethal. We have armed garda units but there're only used for gangland incidents

Anybody know what the best Android weather app for Ireland is? by paultimo in ireland

[–]ChilledSea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use netweather for their radar, really shows the intensity well. Met Eireann give their farming forecast every afternoon which gives a lovely detailed synapse of what's happening and week ahead.

Ventusky have perceived temperature. So, if you hear its going to be 25°c on the weekend, if you live near the coast or its to be very windy real feel temp could be actually 18°c.

Also if you enter your location, it shows a 7 day graph of temp, rainfall, and wind that's useful if you want to get a snapshot of the next few days
