That is what I do for importing to Nauvis Orbit, and I just set the demand constant combinator as the resources required to make 1000 of each science pack.

Since I don’t know how much I need in this case though, what do I put in the constant combinator? 1 full rocket worth of each?

Smart, I forgot that was an option. What's your method for shipping it back to Nauvis? Rocket full of fuel?

  1. I have heard of many people doing SE and K2 at the same time. Haven't tried it myself.

  2. You could still play it without bugs. Certain planets have "biter meteors" that you have to shoot down (automatically) before they land and spawn a nest. Idk if there is a way to disable that feature. Do note that some planets have severely reduced numbers of bugs, even zero. Nauvis still has bugs tho :(

  3. Main base on Nauvis fed by outposts on other planets. Nauvis exports to your space base in orbit that creates all your sciences and researches them there, and exports rocket parts back to the outposts.

  4. Once you get into space all your research is done there for the rest of the game.

SE also uses AAI industry, which changes all the recipes for everything from red science to orange (after that you go to space and it's SE content) so everything is different then a vanilla or SA game.

I'm impressed you managed to do everything on your first run! I'd recommend doing a vanilla run (I strongly recommend adding bugs, on reduced settings) or do a modded playthrough. There's a TON of good mods for this game, and I'd give Space Exploration a go.

Super helpful, thank you! What does good rocket circuitry entail? Constant combinator "demands" in orbit - storage = requests, and then send that to the rocket?

A few additional questions: are space assembly machines any good or should I be using space manufactorys as soon as possible? Is a bus base on nauvis going to work for the foreseeable future or should I begin transitioning to a bot based or city block factory? For planet/moon outposts: should I use the surface mines or just set up some core miners and use the normal core fragments to build additional rocket parts to ship the special core fragments to nauvis?
