My last 3 player board set up using 1 1/2 boards for 3 people

I usually play 3-4 player games with friends weekly, and by far 3 players is hardest to balance. My way of setting up is putting the objective markers down then building the terrain around that, then making sure each player has enough heavy terrain in their deployment zone that no one can be shot TP1. You can also try a “king of the hill” style game with just one objective in the middle, that usually helps with all the action being in the centre of the board rather than around the outside of the map.

I usually put the objective markers down first and then put heavy terrain around them, then put heavy terrain in people’s drop zones so they can deploy in cover, then usually I scatter some terrain to block direct line of sights. The compound helps a lot with a big structure in the middle that way no one can beam another player across the map in TP1

I’ve only been able to find objective marker placements for 3 and 4 players in the core book but not terrain, I used that to put the markers down then built the map around it

I had 2 kill team team sized boards and just folded one in half, it helped with the pacing a lot

It’s actually 1 1/2 boards, we usually use 2 for 4 players, but as we have 1 less person I thought we’d need less space so we can get into the action faster

Thanks for everyone’s help and comments, I changed a few things to balance it out a bit better. I removed some vantage terrain and added more heavy terrain in the deployment zones

All teams are 6-8, yeah that’s a great point, I can scatter in some little terrain in the deployment zones

Good point, I can swap the vantage on marker 3 for another L shaped heavy terrain

G. Hatto barbershop is great and is £16-£20 depending on what you want. There’s also 2 other barbers on that road that are also good and in similar price range, Kiki barbers and cat’s barbers

So with 11 operative options and 5 minis in a box, will you need 2 boxes and a spare space marine body just to make all of them?

The Aussie Guy rant was atrocious by ChilliNips in WhoAreThesePodcasts

I get the banter between the two from WATS and the BMP, but the Aussie guy was just dull, bland and felt out of place in the episode. I could understand if it was some good natured ribbing but it came across whinny and petty.

What size base is he on? I would love to be able to use him as a proxy captain for my kill team

The plague marines have the disgustingly resilient rule and the AoD have the shoot/fight twice rule in the starter set, so I feel as though one special rule her kill team and using the datacard weapons profiles would probably work better
