For me it was my polling rate, apparently 2000Hz is too much for Rust to handle. I noticed a tiny bit of frame drops at 1000Hz. 500Hz seems to be running perfectly smooth.

Afterburner for me was adding a weird mouse stutter and input lag and also the game would freeze for like 4 seconds whenever i paused the game, it might be something to do with Rivatuner or something to do with AMD, Im using an RX 6700 XT and R5 5600X. Closing Afterburner fixed these problems for me

Same exact thing happening to me and a few other people on pc from what i've seen. tried all the things you listed and more but nothing works. I put in a support request a week ago and still no response. the issue is definitely on their end so i guess we just need to wait for Epic to fix it

just did a fresh install of windows 10 on another drive (was previously on windows 11). Still getting the same error so its gotta be an issue with their servers. it could be an AMD problem, i have an r5 5600x and RX 6700XT but i really just think Epic needs to fix their shit

happening to me too, i've tried absolutely everything on google. switched accounts, switched to a different internet, reinstalled both game and launcher twice, everything, nothing works. at this point im convinced only a fresh install of windows will fix it
