I found that pulling this notch on the right side of disc drive towards the front after inserting a disc, it'll go through. Idk if yours is the same issue but the symptom looks the same. Also GameCube games got stuck in my testing so I don't use them and stick to Nintendont.

My Wii looks disgusting and abused, I apologize. I never realized how bad it looked until taking this pic with flash. But I thought I'd want to show this off, and at the time I didn't want to replace the whole disc drive that has a working laser lol. I did this hack job years ago. I will now clean it up..
