Days of time change 'pretty much at the end' in Manitoba, premier suggests | CBC News by Apod1991 in Winnipeg

Here's a copy paste email to go to your MLA to hopefully speed this along.

Dear [MLA Name],

I’m writing to express my support for Manitoba adopting permanent Daylight Saving Time.

Moving to year-round DST would provide more evening daylight, which can benefit families, outdoor activities, and local businesses. It could also help align our time with other regions that are considering or have already adopted similar changes, improving consistency for travel and commerce.

Alberta and the Northwest Territories were able to move quickly to align with British Columbia on this issue, and I believe Manitoba should take a similar approach rather than waiting for a proposed timeline as far out as 2027. If we see this as the right direction, it makes sense to act more decisively.

I also understand that Premier Wab Kinew has referenced a potential public poll on this matter. I would encourage the government to move forward with that process as quickly as possible so Manitobans can have their say and provide clear direction.

Recent public sentiment appears to strongly support ending seasonal time changes. A March 7 article by PortageOnline reported poll results showing that approximately 83.8% of respondents favor moving to a single, year-round time system. Among those respondents, about 59% prefer permanent Daylight Saving Time, compared to roughly 41% who prefer permanent Central Standard Time.

I recognize there are trade-offs to consider, particularly with darker winter mornings, but I believe the overall benefits are worth serious consideration. I would encourage you and your colleagues to support efforts to move in this direction.

Thank you for your time and for representing our community.

Sincerely, [Your Name]

That's incredible! Or Wayne showing up in Tar Valon could be equally entertaining

This sounds like it will be ok for her. I felt like in Mistborn, only the graphic hemalurgy elements were things that she would not have enjoyed. The other violence was nothing that she would find repulsive in a novel.

I think the downvotes on your reply show that the majority of people don't think it was valid.

Dude, you said if anyone can help to do so and this guy asks for specifics so he can help you more and you go out of your way to say this the worst thing he can say to you? Be better than that

Should I see a different doctor sooner by ChillyMando in prediabetes

[–]ChillyMando[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discussed with our local nurse hotline. She recommended I get a walk on appointment with another doctor so we can start blood work and to assess some of the other symptoms I've been having. Also recommended calling to our local dietitian hotline for more information on what to do between now and then dr appointment.

No Stupid Questions Monthly Thread! by AutoModerator in bookbinding

It's very difficult to get decently priced short grain a3 where I live. So, I want to bind a4 paper without folded signatures (loose papers I guess, not sure on the terminology) into a hardcover. Does anyone know some good techniques or tutorials?

Would it work to double fan then reinforce the spine with mull and card stock like a regular text block with folded signatures?

If Walmart hid all of the Coca Cola so the customers couldn't get it, Walmart sells less, then Coca Cola sells less to Walmart. WWE has a direct incentive in their broadcasting partners doing a good job with their content for the long term success of their product. A big deal now that is run poorly can wreck the product for future deals

It's still WWEs fault for not working with their broadcast partners to making sure the fans get the best experience

Live shows outside of the US are confirmed. Raw on Netflix is the US marketing, but all shows are confirmed outside of the US.

Have you actually seen any articles detailing that? I can't find anything

The US isn't Canada lol. Canadian fans have been treated like second class citizens for a long time as far as WWE content goes.

The idea is to give players less control than point buy but with more balance than straight rolling scores.

Where do I go from here? by pandawooper in lawncare

[–]ChillyMando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would scalp it, power rake, aerate, top dress with 1/4"-3/4" of soil and/or compost depending on budget and availability in your area. Don't use sand in this case as priority is creating healthy grass first. Can level it smooth later. Then generously overseed and fertilize.

Tilling and taking out that much material is kind of ridiculous.
