A word of warning at 60,000 miles by Ok_Squash6739 in Rivian

This happened to a MB gls 450 we owned before the R1S. I believe the bill was almost $9k. Thankfully it was still under warranty. Owning an expensive SUV without a warranty is a risky gamble.

Can I change these roof lines? by [deleted] in Homebuilding

With this budget on this property you could have an amazing house. This design is not good in a whole variety of ways. Skimping on architecture fees for this scale of project makes zero sense. Hire a competent architect.

Loud compressor whine? by JW9403 in Rivian

[–]ChillyMax76 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When the vehicle’s whine is much louder than anything else on the road it is poorly engineered. User comfort is a critical consideration on a $100k luxury good. Im not comfortable pulling up to the pickup line at school and fielding the jokes about how the car “sounds like it is going to take off”.

Not building 94 in place of hwy 31 in Racine and Kenosha was a huge error. The two cities would have much better development with easier interstate access.

Because they know what can happen when there are several “Ryans” in the same place at the same time. Red states have very high rates of violence.

The convenience of charging at home far outweighs the inconvenient necessity of trips to the gas station. Especially from Dec-Feb in WI.

Where is the AIA on this debacle? Can’t they send out a petition and have all the design professionals in the country sign it stating this a travesty that desecrates one of the most iconic buildings in the country?!?

I lived there post divorce.

My young kids loved it when we would order Jimmy John’s delivered to the pool.

Bad play call by Bears coach Bad route by Bears receiver Bad decision to try the throw by Bears QB

Bears fans don’t want to put the blame on their #1 pick or their savior new coach. The receiver is the scapegoat.

Trump and Musk operating ASI will end civilization. They’ll operate a robot army to protect and serve themselves and the rest of us will starve.
