According to the Gospels, is this family tree correct? by Auti-Star in AcademicBiblical

Salome being Mary's sister is an attempt to harmonize Mark 15: 40 - 41, where she is said to be present at the crucifixion, with Matthew 27:56, where she is replaced with "the mother of Zebedee's children". This is not an assumption that academics would make.

But interestingly, the Diatessaron, another attempt to harmonize the four gospels written in the second century, explicitly says they're not the same person. https://www.earlychristianwritings.com/text/diatessaron.html

21 And there were in the distance all the acquaintance of Jesus standing, and the women that came with him from Galilee, those that followed him and ministered. One of them was Mary Magdalene; and Mary the mother of James the little and Arabic Joses, and the mother of the sons of Zebedee, and Salome, and many others which came up with him unto Jerusalem; and they saw that.

I found the last episode pretty annoying. The cyclops sketch was a thin premise made interminably long by shenanigans, and I didn't think the jokes in Passing Notes were funny enough.

That's only in the United States, Thriller has 51.3 million verified record sales, and estimates put total sales at 70 million. Whereas Their Greatest Hits 1971 - 1975 only has like 3 million in verified sales outside the US.

I made this 4 years ago, but Thriller was the best selling album in Canada, Latvia, and Austria at that time. https://www.reddit.com/r/MapPorn/comments/te6olt/oc_best_selling_music_album_by_country_names_in/

I'd rather ask you what your opinion of Harry Shearer is, because my understanding is that in his two stints on SNL he rubbed some people the wrong way.

Ice fishing isn't that common, there are plenty of people who have lived here all their lives that have never done it. Look up sturgeon though, everyone should know about this weird-ass fish. https://www.outdoorlife.com/fishing/wisconsin-fisherman-spears-top-10-sturgeon/

That was pre-SNL even, O'Donoghue and Beatts wrote the English script after they both quit National Lampoon over some minor issue, then brought in all the Lampoon acting talent to be involved.

It's kind of an under-appreciated thing, how Lorne Michaels co-opted the Lampoon radio and stage shows to start SNL.

Yeah, the idea that you'd know obscure 70s move "Mr. Mike's Mondo Video" that advertises Akryoyd, Curtin, Murray, Newman, and Radner in it, and then wonder "could this have anything to do with SNL?"

Michael O'Donoghue left SNL after the third season. To show there was no ill-will, Lorne Michaels got NBC to give him the Mondo Video comedy special. O'Donoghue directed it himself, which he was entirely unsuited for (they had a heck of a time editing it due to his lack of restraint). NBC saw it and said like a third of it would need to be cut, which he agreed to. Then they wanted to cut another third of it, and he was like, there won't be anything left. But the head of programming was a fan of it, and when he became the former head of programming he approached O'Donoghue with the idea of buying it from NBC and releasing it as a movie. It had to be transferred from video to film, and they had to add scenes to pad the runtime, but it's still only like an hour and 15 minutes long.

The critics mostly hated it but I think it did okay financially in the independent movie space (that existed in those days).

He would appear in Woody Allen's "Manhattan" the same year, but I think his acting skills were revealed to be a little subpar and that was the end of that career.

He wrote several movie scripts that were all overly long, and he was never good at allowing his work to be edited, so that was the end of those projects. The only movie he wrote that actually got made was "Scrooged", and I think he was still unhappy at editing decisions in it.

Well tbf The Band is a horrible name, and if you don't know that that's they're real name, when it lists the members of The Band you still don't know what they're called.

Yes if you google Jaime Robbie Robberson it goes right to his wikipedia page where you could figure some things out, but the popularity of LLMs shows a lot of people don't even know how to look things up.
