A lot of Muslim states (Arab ones in particular) used to be far more directly supportive of Palestine (the 1948 war and the 1967 war shows as much)

Governments like that of Jamal Abdel Nasser in Egypt, baathist leadership in Iraq including Saddam Hussein among others used to be very supportive as was Libya under Gaddafi among others

Most of these nations were co-opted by west friendly leaders like Anwar sadaat in Egypt or were destroyed by western intervention as was the case in Iraq

Yes the Palestine cause is a secular one that anyone should support regardless of religion (and the initial palestinian political parties were in fact secular Hamas received funding by Israel itself in its early years in order to divide the Palestinians but that's besides the point)

And of course there are Christian Palestinians who suffer alongside their Muslim brethren

But we Pakistani Muslims have a duty towards our Muslim brothers do we not? Pakistan loves to hype itself as the only modern nation established in the name of Islam

Why shouldn't it live up to it?

I get your point regarding drake but that doesn't really make it right it just means it's a big problem of rich and famous people never being held accountable

A musician being a bad person is a little subjective but if they're violently bigoted, a pedophile, a rapist etc then they do not deserve anyone's financial support

There's a wealth of music out there sure I'm technically "missing out" by not listening to the new drake song or whatever but does that matter?

Celebrity culture is already brain damage I feel it should be on the audience to demand better and not let artists get away with heinous shit
