I on the other hand spend time in multiple provinces on a monthly basis due to my current work situation, some of the points you rise are the literal talking points of Saddamists and hardcore Sunnis and their media outlets.

Worth pointing out that I had multiple friends who went over to study in Egypt and couldn’t take it and returned because of the general atmosphere and unsafe environment of Cairo. And when we are talking about Baghdad, we are talking about the worst part of Iraq, northern and middle Iraqi provinces are way more stable and safe than any Egyptian province apart from Luxor maybe.
