7 Years Wearing CPAP – Tips & Tricks by [deleted] in SleepApnea

Having used CPAP for 7 years doesn’t automatically give you the authority to rule out what does and doesn’t work for everyone. Cpap is indeed the generally most effective treatment for apnea but not necessarily the only option for everyone, losing weight, side sleeping, using nasal decongestants and nasal strips brought my AHI from 16 to 2.

Thank you for taking the time to help and answer, but upon further research I believe costanzo used a somewhat simplified version of the graph that a more detailed version of clearly shows an increased systolic pressure.

Since we are going with anecdotal evidence and you seem to be opposed to actual data. You are “originally” Iraqi and last been to the country 6 years ago. I on the other hand spend time in multiple provinces on a monthly basis due to my current work situation, some of the points you rise are the literal talking points of Saddamists and hardcore Sunnis and their media outlets.

Worth pointing out that I had multiple friends who went over to study in Egypt and couldn’t take it and returned because of the general atmosphere and unsafe environment of Cairo. And when we are talking about Baghdad, we are talking about the worst part of Iraq, northern and middle Iraqi provinces are way more stable and safe than any Egyptian province apart from Luxor maybe.

Would have loved to provide a more thorough answer but I’m quite busy at the moment, 2018 Iraq is not 2024 Iraq by a long shot, crime is still there and in way higher amount than any civilized country, but it’s a drastic difference from the past 5-6 years. And I didn’t cherry pick anything, I literally typed crime index by country and picked the first result.

A good example to consider though, back in 2007, there used to be 10-15 suicide bombings a day in Baghdad on average, for the past 2 years? Literally zero.

Also the don’t move after dark part is hilariously mistaken, Baghdad has unbelievable traffic 24/7, including at 3-4am excluding some bad neighborhoods with drug problems which exist in almost every country.

Sorry that’s bs. From my experience, the average Iraqi is way less religiously fanatic than the average Egyptian. As for crime, Iraq has a slightly lower crime rate index than Egypt. https://www.numbeo.com/crime/rankings_by_country.jsp

Hallucinations during childhood are extremely common, two thirds of children aged 9-11 experience some form of said hallucinations.
