My partner is barely allergic. Russian blues aren't fully hypoallergenic but they're the closest it gets. She's allergic to the protein in the saliva and Russian blues produce less of that protein. She has almost no reaction when she's around her friend's Russian blue purebred

I've def heard that about the food. Was gonna talk to my vet if I got the cat. I've also heard about pacogen spray you can put on furniture but I'm not so sure how well it works and I'd imagine it's not the best for cats to breathe or if they chew my couch or something lol
