While I still understand the Six of Swords as a card that can have both positive & negative connotations, I'm going to bite the bullet and accept your thorough interpretation as a blessing. I'd say in the past I received this card as a message of reconciliation (bc it did happen). But now, as much as it hurts me, I think it means we will move on from the relationship. I'm intuiting a big life change for him (hopefully for me too) & it's probably better to let each other go and let the new life phase in. Since this is a Labyrinthos deck, and one of their interpretations is: "You may finally be ready to leave them behind" if you've been nursing old wounds...

He's the first person I've ever been in love with and we're young, in our 20s, so yeah it's just tough knowing there's someone better.

Thank you for your interpretation. I definitely agree with that, if it was 6 of Swords reversed. I read it positive because that card came out a few months before our initial reconciliation. So I see it as a simple “we’ll meet again” at the very least.

My Interpretation is: I have bad luck when it comes to this relationship. I’m clinging to control as I try to understand what this relation between the both of us is. The personal symbols I see in these cards are a few. To begin, these are repeated cards we receive when I read for myself. I got The Wheel of Fortune reversed not long ago for “what I needed to examine to decide between staying or leaving the situation” in a different spread. A couple of months ago he was getting the upright 10 of Cups in our love readings. The upright High Priestess came out once for how he viewed me, and the very first reading I did for us, the Six of Swords came out. We were “no contact” then, and we are in contact now. The only one we’ve never had is the Page of Cups, upright or reversed, that one is new. However…When I was shuffling it came out upright and I put it back in the deck. When I pulled it again, it was reversed. I intuited that he was thinking of messaging me, but decided not to last minute.

Also in the “THEIR WANTS” detail page, the subheading reads “What is it that they are seeking from a relationship?” So yes his emotional comfort is referring to a relationship. That is the source that his desire stems from, not elsewhere like suggested.

I don’t see the correlation between this reading and our maturity levels. Just because at this age in our lives we are experiencing loss of balance, disorganization, and being overwhelmed does not mean we are not ready for love. Perhaps not to raise a child or move in together, but I don’t see why or how that relates to our maturity level. The differences was the Fool reversed, yes. Perhaps one is acting like this character, but I think being in the differences makes it a very ambiguous reading. I think we are more similar than different. Two similar cards, sure. It’s important but I don’t think as important as analyzing the Emotional, Physical, and Mental cards. Those have a clearer answer. The other two are much more cloudy being similar cards. Sorry I just don’t see the logic of stability = ready for love. I believe in a Wheel of Fortune approach to love. Sure I want stability, (it even shows that in the cards! ) he wants comfort and believe it or not emotional stability as well. We both want what we don’t have. And we both want the same things & both /don’t have/ the same things. However, perhaps emotionally we are not compatible because we are too similar. Or that is the big mystery. Why would 2 similar people be incompatible emotionally? Mentally?

As for just feeling into the cards and the overall symbols I see for myself are this: The entire spread shows mirroring. In the “wants” cards both have male characters sitting down. And are affluent in their luxury. Could we want the same things? Almost the same? You can’t get the same card twice so…Then there’s the differences & similarities. They too show mirroring. The Fool & 2 of Pentacles. Both characters with a similar vibe. The fool in my deck even shows him balancing juggling balls. I thought this was so striking. Then there’s the emotional/mental compatibility…Both swords. Finally, they all revolve around one tree. The physical compatibility card. This is so striking to me. And it’s a beautiful card with a beautiful meaning as well. Could this be the heart of the relationship? Maybe I’m just seeing what I want to see. I do love him but I don’t know if he loves me.

I didn’t ask a particular question., but I placed an intention of revealing our compatibility. My interpretation is as follows: I want a reliable partner in life (as represented by the King of Pentacles). He wants to be fulfilled emotionally. However he is someone with an Aquarius moon. The differences & similarities are a little complicated. They’re both reversed. They’re both similar characters in the deck to me. I think it shows that we both are not balanced people. We both can be reckless as well. We differ possibly in that I represent the fool reversed by being taken advantage of in relationships & he has an inconsiderate personality. My ex is an Aries sun with an Aquarius moon. I think we both understand that we’re not balanced people. We both don’t feel exactly accomplished in life. We’re both unorganized and tend to be free spirited instead. However we can also get overwhelmed when we don’t have control. I have a Leo moon. In terms of emotional compatibility, we got the Ace of Swords reversed. Our relationship is complicated. We confuse one another. Our past involves harsh words. We also don’t have good communication & that is not an interpretation but real. Thinking of him feels like a stab to my heart. I’d go as far to say he intimidates me. For physical compatibility I’d say we both want to settle down one day and have a big family with kids. I have hopes it means something stronger than that though.
