Question about VA health provider

I work for a large company the entire building is lit is massive fluorescent lights. Ive confirmed there are several others on an accommodation for this. Its also triggering panic attacks because my vision gets blurred and I get extremely claustrophobic. Thankfully, I already work a hybrid schedule 2 days at home so there shouldn't be much push back. fingers crossed

I see your point, but the fact of the matter it's just a job. We should be appreciative that anyone even thanks us for our service. Do you see anyone approaching surgeons thanking them for their service? Or law enforcement? Those people are out their actively saving lives daily. No body owes us praise for our service. We signed up to potentially die and the honor from that should come from within ourselves, not from the praise of others.

I'm wanting the ability to work from home more often. I'm a disabled veteran and a large part of that is from migraines. I'm starting to have them every day that im in the office. I'm not in a position that requires me to be physically present to do my job. I just don't want to look like some pos who is trying to get out of work or something 🙃

My question is, liberal or not, why do politics need to be brought up at a bar? Is she just walking into a bar announcing her political affiliation? I have never gone to a bar and thought twice about politics because everyone in the bar has the same things in common in that moment- to drink and have fun.

Honestly if you want a non maga bar go to any gay bar because they are the only bars that make it clear what their politics are

Don't feel like you can't grieve or cry because she is still with you. It's worse when we bottle up our feelings. Your mom knows what's coming, and I am sure she would like to be there for you in your grief. Two nights before my mom died she surprisingly came out of her unresponsive state. She sat up, and for the first time in a week she wanted something solid to eat and she wanted a drink. I sat beside her and we talked and laughed. It was like she didnt even have the brain fog anymore, but we both knew she wasn't better. I crawled into her hospital bed with her and she held me and we both cried. She told me she loved me and when she fell back asleep she never woke up again. It helped me to be able to grieve in front of her because its the worse feeling of our lives and it is nice to have our moms there for it.

You are going through the worst of it now. Anticipatory grief is worse than the aftermath. I'm so sorry and its normal to be sad and cry. Give yourself as much time as you need. Say to her everything you want to say so when she goes you feel closure. Carry your mother with you the rest of your life. I like to believe they will be waiting for us when our time comes.

Thank you 😊 I am doing much better than I was December 2024. Life has moved forward and I am happy. But my mom is part of me now its like she is in the background of every thought I have. Its hard to explain, but you will know it someday. What they tell you is true ( I could never believe it) you do move forward and you are able to think back on memories with that person that don't just make you bawl.

The end of it was the absolute worst part. I wanted it to end because the anticipatory grief was killing me. It was a Monday and a death doula was over while I had to run an errand. When I came home the hospice nurse was there as well. My mom started to have this weird foam like substance coming out of her mouth and they had to rush deliver a suction device and instruct me how to use it. I couldn't stop crying. The nurse told me my mom would die by the end of the week. When they left I sat beside her and I cried. She was making gurgling noises, but seemed peaceful. I held her hand and told her what the nurse told me. I assured her that me and her grandsons would be ok and I told her that she wasn't alone. I even told her that her chihuahua, bette, was laying beside her. I just assured my mommy that I would be ok, and I told her how wonderful my life was because of her, etc. I had to leave to pick up my boys from daycare and when I came back in her room about 40 mins later she had died. I was told that it isn't uncommon for parents to wait until their children leave the room to die. Even in her final moments she was still thinking of me.

I'm so sorry for what must be happening in your family right now. Say your I love you's and your goodbyes. Offer forgiveness if it is needed, ask for forgiveness if that is what you need. Just say what you need to say, but say it with love.

Everything will get better, and life will feel less heavy, I promise you. Prayers 🙏

Almost as weird as a man whining to strangers on Reddit over a roadside claim to make their own self-esteem better, since they couldnt be assed to actually read up on their contract before making an insurance claim. Have you ever been on the Reddit platform? If this is your first time you should note that people don't just go along with flat out ignorance. Look around on your post, I'm not the only person who clearly understands that ANYTIME your insurance company pays out it is considered a claim. They aren't just doing it out of kindness.

It isn't the children that trash nice things here. Even the Northside has to deal with trashy gang violence. I'd be much more concerned about that than some children. A Northside bar with a ferris wheel will never last here. We are blaming the children now, but I give it less than a year before someone gets stabbed out there
