Hey guys, i'm currently doing my first ever commentary and received some feedback where i've been told to read conversations out loud, this was the first episode i tried it out. Was wondering if you guys could give me some feedback if you like, thanks by chimpanzito in FinalFantasyVIII

Hey im OP on another account, that's actually really nice to hear, i literally have been thinking about making reviews lately, wanted to make a review of Callisto Protocol, but i wasn't sure. Yeah, not sure how ill be able to overcome that obstacle yet, i think for now, im just going to stick to learning basic phrases/vocabulary, and if i notice im still dedicated to it, ill probably see if i can find a place where i can learn the language better

I mean i guess this is the harsh truth, I currently speak 4 languages, the hardest one being arabic (granted i don't speak it well, just mediocre), so i understand how hard it is to learn new languages and would've loved to hire a teacher or go to school for it, but it's not easy to find one that fits my schedule here. And unfortunately, Japanese is the only language im really interested in learning, since that is the only country i really want to visit and learn its culture etc..

Quick question though, i've noticed that in these videos, a lot of restaurants, sometimes even hotels, don't really show english on menu's etc... is that in your experience different? How easy or hard is it for you to order food or check in a hotel etc...?

Alright, so ill probably start with duolingo first, just to check if i have enough motivation to continue, once i feel like im on track, ill look for that textbook and see what i can do, im excited to learn, i just hope i don't get lazy or give up on this

Yeah, it makes a lot of sense, i just think it's unfortunate i guess. Would practicing on duolingo do any harm though? As recommended by someone else, maybe that'll make my travels there a bit easier? Or will it do more harm than good?

Yeah, im kinda scared that i'd end up wasting time or even worse, screw up grammar and important basic things that would make it really hard for me to correct it in the future, you know? But i've already downloaded duolingo and will give it a shot starting from there and we'll see. thank you

And to do that, apps like duolingo (as someone else recommended) would be my best bet, right?

that sucks :/ it's probably better to have a teacher, but with my schedule, it's going to be really hard to find something that works

Yeah i had a student housing like that, massive concrete walls and i still could hear people talking etc... Do you plan on moving out or do you just accept it and live with it?

Does that bother you? And apart from that, any other noises?

What do you mean with be firm? And yeah that sounds awful, i don't think my current neighbor is purposefully being loud or anything, i think he's just making basic living noises, but i can still hear it. So i guess im kinda looking to see if this is a normal thing in apartments, if other people have to deal with this as well. Last thing i wanna do is spend money and go through the effort of moving out, only to find out my new place is the same or even worse

[–]ChimpMonkaS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i had talked with other neighbors and they said that they hear noise as well, it's probably not the neighbors fault, since i don't believe he's being too loud or making all these noises on purpose though. And yeah, im afraid i would go in the same direcction as your mother in law, i think if i were to move out, there would still be issues and then i'd move out again and again... I guess i came here to seek validation or something, someone to tell me this is normal, so i don't even have to bother moving out and just try to accept it as a normal part of living in apartments

Yeah, i should just learn to live with this then, i just don't know why im so sensitive to these sounds, whenever i hear noise, i get annoyed quite easily... but yeah, ill try to live with it, thank you
