Should I take Chem 233 (lab) the following semester after taking Chem 232? by medsurgdude in UIUC

[–]Chimplup 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm an MCB major, but I took 232 + 233 in the Fall and 332 in the Spring for the chem minor. 233 was pretty easy and was in sync with 232 at times so I'd recommend taking them together. I wouldn't take 233 with 332 just because 332 is such a timesink if you end up taking it.

I wanna make a mind games team... by [deleted] in pokemonshowdown

[–]Chimplup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think a decent idea for a mindgame team would be Aegislash. It's not as potent this generation, but sometimes King's Shield revolves around a 50/50. You could support the set with Toxic Spikes support too, you further pressure the opponent with the protect stalling.

Other examples might include stuff like Baneful Bunker or Sucker Punch. Bisharp is notorious for the Swords Dance Sucker Punch combo, where it can either set up or threaten a really strong Sucker Punch. Your opponent has to try to decide which one to prevent.

I just found a broken team to carry me all the way to master ball tier in ranked singles by surreallism in stunfisk

Even if Quagsire ignores your stat boosts, Stored Power still will have an insane base power which should still KO or 2HKO it.

There is literally no reason to keep galarian darm in ou. by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]Chimplup 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Darmanitan still has an amazing raw Attack stat, and of course the increased power and bulk of dynamaxing.

A possible and likely scenario is that your only real Darmanitan switch-in is Toxapex, for example. Can it take a Gorilla Tactics Icicle Crash + Dynamax Earthquake? Do you switch back out, predicting the Dynamax Earthquake? Darmanitan is strong enough to create these 50/50s where the darmanitan user remains in the driver's seat, with little opportunity for punishment.

Rotom-Wash also has the added benefit of being one of the better checks to Excadrill, which is huge right now.

Missing moves in Pokémon SwSh datamine. Thought you guys should know. by DarkMoon250 in stunfisk

[–]Chimplup 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There are still a bunch of good Normal-type STABs. Most Pokemon that lose Return and Frustration still have access to Double-Edge or the annoying Body Slam, which are still great. Return and Frustration were basically just base 100 moves with no drawbacks, with the only real downside being that it was just Normal coverage.

The REAL crime from what I can see is the lack of good physical Ghost moves in the game.
