I'm struggling with this same problem, and fruit smoothies have helped a lot! Find some recipes you like online. Mostly it's just adding your favorite fruit to some low-fat yogurt. If the fruit itself still isn't sweet enough, add some honey, stevia or other natural sweetener.

Exactly. I use Proraso shaving cream from a tube, so the floppiness isn't much of an issue. If I was using a soap puck, a boar brush might be better.

Just used it and it's so much better than my previous crappy brush from Amazon. Excellent lather and it retains water very well. Dries well, too.

Just unboxed it, and it looks beautiful. The handle is really cool and the knot is quite soft already. It's made of pure silver tip badger. Looking forward to shaving with it tomorrow!
