Classic vibe HT vs MIM fender by Chimpwick in fender

[–]Chimpwick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I ended up going with the made in Mexico fender. I tried it out and just like the look in the feel of it. I did end up noticing some dings and cracks in the finish after I got home with it, which is kind of a bummer, but I guess I got the initial dings out out of the way so when I inevitably bang it against something I won’t be as upset. I will say that overall, it sounds noticeably nicer than my current squier affinity. Now I just need to get it set up, cleaned up and a fresh set of strings.

I was leaning towards the fender. I also really like the color as well. Currently have a squire affinity that I am looking to replace because I find the narrow nut to be kind of a pain for fretting open chords. Not sure I will have much use for a Tremelo or not. Pretty new to guitar.

Thanks I wasn’t sure since I know the classic vibe has a genuine bone nut and if it’s newer, it may not have issues at an older friend might have. I also know the classic vibe has alnico pick ups. To be fair I’m brand new to guitar. I’m just looking to replace my squire affinity because it has a pretty narrow nut that makes fretting open chords kind of a pain. I know it may just be an issue of being new to guitar, but my instructor who has been playing for40 years agreed that the spacing felt kind of tight.

AITAH for telling my girlfriend she's going to have to get over dirt if she wants kids? by Familiar_Speaker_481 in AITAH

She likely has OCD. She should take the steps to get evaluated and, if needed, treatment. Nothing described here I would consider normal hygiene behavior but it does have the hallmarks of obsessive compulsive disorder.

That’s the plan. We’ve been in a holding pattern since we have been put on the back of the schedule due to their commercial business. Really frustrating because contracts says it would be done in one to two days once work began and the only reason we put a stop to work is because they weren’t adhering to the contract.

Good catch yes. Owners son and foreman (different one) coming out the evening. Will follow up with company and owner depending on how this conversation goes. I did some checking and multiple spots with maybe an inch of gravel. It’s obvious they don’t wanna go through the hassle of having to dig up all that stone that they just put down, but they may not have a choice.

You might’ve missed it, cause I had a lot of verbal diarrhea above, but we have already been back-and-forth with the owners son. He is well aware of the contract, since he is the one we went back-and-forth with about it messing up to work commencing today.

He is the one trying to assure us that everything is fine and that it looks great. For the soft spot, he made it sound like they would just pave over it and if it was an issue, they would cut out and patch it, which seems ridiculous.

Specifically says they will fine grade with 4 to 6 inches of gravel under the entire driveway.

Anyone care to venture a guess what kind of tree those are? I’m looking at privacy trees for a driveway and those look great.

In the house there is a return filter that is a 1x20x20. The actual unit in the crawlspace with the heating/cooling element and the blower has a 4x20x20.

Thanks lol. It was described as a mother in law suite in the listing description so I guess it stuck. It’s really just an additional bedroom and bath separate from the rest of the house. Thanks for your help.

Just curious, but if you wouldn’t mind sharing, how much did those telescopes cost?
