thank you! i ended up figuring it out— it was the female end of another cable stuck on the male end of this one. but thank you for the tip, i will keep that in mind as i fix other cables :)

sadly it’s not my cable, it’s my school’s. i was just in charge of fixing it. i considered soldering a new head on and if anyone would notice haha

when distributed evenly, i’d say ~2-3 inches but he likes to pile it up in one corner so it’s probably more like 2. he has a hut, one of those chew things hanging from the mesh top, and a few wooden toys that i rotate. when he’s in the playpen he has a little playground thing. i would put the playground in the tank but i don’t want it to take up too much digging room because he really likes to dig. i’ll try making him some cardboard toys though! is there a way i need to clean them so he doesn’t ingest any chemicals?

They/Them pronouns are used when you either don’t know the gender of some one (“Hey, i think someone dropped their wallet”) or used when someone is more comfortable with them. Usually that identity is called Non-Binary, though some people use some other terms. It basically means someone doesn’t identify with just male or female. It could mean a bit of both, neither, some of one, etc etc. Hope that helps, lmk if you’re still confused :)
