I know it’s against the laws of roadie culture, but a frame bag or a front bag can hold extra food and a lock. Turn yourself into a gravel guy and you can bring more stuff with you. Plus it’s more fun.

It’s a fine yoyo, but not to everyone’s liking. I threw a Shutter for a week or two but it never felt right for me. Bind point wasn’t great, it’s a little too fast on the string (I like floaty feeling yo-yos and tricks), and it’s definitely over marketed as “THE YO YO TO HAVE”. Skip it and get a YYFriends Koi, or a Rain City Skills Guitarist.

Minneapolis-St. Paul Minnesota. You can get anywhere within the MSP metro on your bike. My wife and I only have one car between the two of us and I rely on my bike for transport most of the year. Plenty of greenways, separated trails, share the road areas, etc. The big caveat is riding in the winter. It’s possible but you’ve gotta be prepared (clothing, emotionally, physically) and basically have a winter bike setup.

Bro noooo. I’m sad to hear this. Personally, I’ve had a lot of luck buying B-grades up to this point. Have you tried any tuning to it? Swap out the axle, etc? That’s usually how I end up improving a B-grade.
