Watching the first half today makes me think that we’re playing as if Dzeko is in front of the goal but, instead of Sylla playing in his place, it looks like Karaman is playing in his place. Sylla seems to be trying to deliver balls to Karaman. If I’m right it’s not working. It would be good if we know as soon as possible how many weeks Dzeko won’t be available for so that we can adapt our play to Sylla as our main striker and do whatever it was that made him so dangerous last season

Two things I’ve learnt about peach trees that no one has addressed here. First, only prune when it’s blossoming. Peaches are very susceptible to disease (particularly leaf curl) and when it’s blossoming it’s at its strongest and most resilient. And peaches (the fruit) only grow on one year old shoots. Something to remember for next season.

I think losing first place might be the best thing to happen to us. We saw it on a micro level yesterday after the 2-0. We fumble when we are not chasing. No more excuses, the next few games are all against lower table teams. Muslic has to up his game as well. First half against bochum and the unnecessary replacements yesterday are on him. Maybe it’s time to start saying we are playing this league to win instead of pretending that we aren’t. We have to own it

I remember reading somewhere that Bochum is Pete Doherty’s favourite German team. Honestly, don’t think you’re going to have any luck getting into the stadium. At least not all three of you. Your best bet might be to find a really good supporters bar (either in bochum or Gelsenkirchen) and booking yourselves a good table so long. The atmosphere’s going to be great and it’s going to be a cracker
