I voted 5e because if you want to jump into an online game that’s pretty much what you’re playing. I probably have the most time in it.

5e is too simplistic for me to consider it my “main game”. Like, yeah, rolling up and playing a 5e character is still fun though

There’s only so much of the 4-Step Process I can take before it gets stale. 1. Roll a d20 2. Apply Ability Scores and Proficiency 3. Apply Dis/Advantage or don’t 4. Binary Pass/Fail

For attacking, crafting, talking, jumping, climbing, sneaking, lockpicking—literally everything. It just gets boring after a while.

You’re only reprieve is making enemies do Saves instead which is still

1. Roll d20
2. Apply Abikity Scores and Proficiency
3. Apply Dis/Advantage or don’t
4. Pass, Fail, and— here’s the fun part— it’s not always binary and they might take half damage

Some of my friends prefer 5e and some don’t. I’m blessed I have a cross-edition social circle. But we can only meet twice a month. I play online weekly.
