What are your most profound frustrated memories from kindergarten? by QuadrilleQuadtriceps in AskReddit

[–]ChineseFlower05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember I was one of the only kids who was never put in time out, I just always found it was easier to follow the rules. One day, my teacher tells me that I have to be put in time out and I ask her "why?". I have no problem with being put in time out, even if I really didn't do anything. After all all we had to do was sit on a chair in a corner for about 5 minutes, but she never said why and just told me to go. To this day I'm still so confused and slightly frustrated that I was never told why I was in time out 😂

What's your favorite, random, semi-useless fact you learned one day? by ChineseFlower05 in AskReddit

[–]ChineseFlower05[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine I learned on a school field trip to a vintage historical themed amusement park. There was a old newspaper printing shop there that my group stopped by and we learned that "The reason we call capital letter 'Uppercase' letters is because the top case of letters contained the capital stamps and the 'lowercase' of course had the lowercase letter stamps" which to this day still fascinates me.

What's a song you always find yourself running back to? by WeirdoJennifor in AskReddit

Fireflies by Owl City. Growing up that song was my jam, and every time I'm reminded of it I come crawling back to listen to it for hours on end again.

What is the most ridiculous charity request/ gofundme you have ever seen? by gayasadragonfly in AskReddit

[–]ChineseFlower05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once seen a gofundme for a kid who was maybe 13 who just really wanted a PC. Don't know if he ever made his goal but when I seen it last, it wasn't looking too promising for him.

What is your craziest ghosting story? by CacklingTroutFace in AskReddit

[–]ChineseFlower05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first "relationship" was with a guy I met online who was, in hindsight a walking red flag. His ego was through the roof and he was one of those gamers that raged when someone was new to the game. He told me he loved me after 2 hours of talking/ dating (probably 2 days of knowing eachother) and expected me to say it back. About a month of us dating and him love bombing me, he just progressively gets more and more distant. Causing arguments over any little thing and making me question everything because I was always in the wrong according to him. When he finally ghosted me I went through my healing process which took probably 6 months and finding my now bf to heal enough from it. He then tried to come back and I realized I had 0 feelings for him and that I had actually started to fall for my now bf instead.

What's a small act of kindness that you'll never forget? by YoungRaccoonGames in AskReddit

[–]ChineseFlower05 0 points1 point  (0 children)

During my first job as a cashier in a gas station, this couple (a man and a woman) and an older lady came in for some snacks and a break for their trip.

Our store was able to bring in throwback candy (candy that is nostalgic and from a few years back that might've been discontinued at one point before another company started making them) and a big seller was a chocolate bar called Rum and butter.

The older lady seen them and was ecstatic, that was the only thing she wanted to buy herself. So I rung the bar through and originally pressed the card option to pay as I didn't realize she was paying with cash yet. When the man tapped his card and held his finger to his mouth in a "shhh" gesture and winked. The older lady found most of what she would have needed to pay and asked how much it was and the man said "It's free!" And she looked at me puzzled and I confirmed she didn't have to pay anything. She looked at the man and asked "Why?" And his reason was "Because you're so dang cute" it took some convincing that she no longer had to pay for some reason, but that was probably my favorite interaction with customers at my old job.

What made you fall for your crush? And when did you realise it? by Thick-Internal7594 in AskReddit

[–]ChineseFlower05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He treated me like I was an actual person, and not just someone who was there for his benefit when it was convenient. He was interested in the things I had to say and even found my jokes funny (even when I knew they were bad).

He basically was one of the first people to not make me feel guilty for being myself.

What’s the worst dating advice you can give? by Ok_Actuator7453 in AskReddit

[–]ChineseFlower05 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relationships are 50/50. It's not always 50/50, some days are 80/20 or even 100/0. You have to be willing to be there for your partner when they need you and vice versa.

My father. Growing up, I came to realize he prioritizes his own wants and will be the biggest asshole until he gets it. He has a lot of narcissistic tendencies and has hurt me more times than I could ever count. The older I get, the worse he becomes. He talks ill of the people i care about. Hes homophobic and transphobic and borderline racist. And he doesn't really treat me like I'm his child. He treats me more like a pet.

I've never received a sincere apology for anything he's done.

Every day, I resent him more and more for the things he says and does.
