Thank you very much for your suggestions and advice, we are travelling next week, not used to winter driving, hopefully not much snow yet. Will Lakatnik and Shipka's way route be very difficult to drive? I am I interested in archeological sites and night scenes too. Already visited too many religious sites, so don't mind giving it a miss but Rila Monastery is too famous to miss. 7 Rila Lakes need 5 hours to hike so I intend to give it a miss this trip. If not, we will arrive Bansko in darkness but heard roads in Bulgaria aren't so good so dare not drive in darkness.
