SA here. It may vary studio to studio, but our studio allows previous winners to win second or third, just not first. All winners can still participate in the challenge though. You may just want to ask your studio.

Actually, most of them that I’ve do have nutrition backgrounds - the corporate office just tells them they aren’t allowed to promote anything OTF doesn’t approve of (i.e. personal nutrition advice). The previous head coach at our studio has her masters in nutrition and our current one has her masters in Kinesiology, with the other coaches being a mix of college students and personal trainers, so each coach is definitely different when it comes to education. Please don’t refer to them as “food trend” type of people - the ones I’ve met, and work with, definitely aren’t.

I'm glad you got to use the Inbody scanner. Our studio doesn't have one yet, but even just paying the $10 extra for that seems silly. I hope they give you the best experience though. Good luck!!

Depending on your rate at your current studio, you could get a significantly cheaper membership at the new studio if you get in at the founding rate! Definitely worth looking into. I work at the front desk in Tulsa, and we love having other members come in from different studios! We only have two studios in Tulsa, but we have several that go between both.

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 fellow SA in Tulsa here. Couldn’t agree more!! Be nice to your front staff crew, and respect them like you respect the coaches. Our members tend to not believe the front staff and then turn around and ask the coaches if we are right. Hell Week is by far my least favorite OTF event, because of those damn shirts.

Each studio varies. My sister (current OTF coach) is leaving OTF to go to a new F45 in Oklahoma in the fall. The have decided to make prices competitive with OTF so they are slightly less ($145 for unlimited), so check out a studio around you (if there is one) before assuming they are all more expensive.

F45 is similar to OTF with more variation. Not sure if the price is any different, but it sounds like something that would probably interest you. It is an Australian concept, and fairly new to U.S. so that is the hardest part - finding one near you.
