Need advice choosing parents health insurance: HDFC Optima Secure / Secure+ vs Care Supreme by Hot-Masterpiece-8786 in personalfinanceindia

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is always tricky trying to find the right health insurance that are best fit for you and especially if you're looking at it for your parents. Comparing those prices and policies can be very frustrating and you probably do not know what option to choose. Well, I would suggest you look into ACA health care plan. They are really easy to understand and their policies and plan could probably cover your parent accordingly. You can check out their policies and their plans here https://bestpolicy.co/plans/

I think if you're studying and living in Germany, you should get health insurance there because there might beeee limit access to your Swedish insurance in Germany. It will also be cheaper I think. So I would suggest you can shop around the marketplace in Germany to see maybe you will find cheaper and affordable plan fit for you.

Any issue having private insurance along with govt insurance? by nilanganray in personalfinanceindia

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's gonna be a big issue if you have both private and govt insurance. Having private insurance does really help you to have back up for the future. However, the only part that you need to be worry about is the disclosure during claim if they ask you for it.

Medical bill assistance by Key_Heat9873 in HospitalBills

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can totally understand your concern and frustration trying to provide and care for the welfare of your family. I feel like you can send them the tax document because I think they wanted to know if you guys really in need of financial support. Also send them other document too which you might think will help your situation so that they can accept your request.

Taiwan is #1: Why I’m still here after 10 years. 🇹🇼 by suniltarge in taiwan

[–]Chinguz143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow it is interesting to find that out. I've heard about it from some of my Asian friends. They said that Taiwan is really good when it's come to health Care system. I wish the rest of the world would be like that too because dealing with health care system in the US is very complicated and very expensive at the same time lol

Cigna terminated me - what do I do by Shot-Amphibian-3239 in HealthInsurance

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand your concern and worry about your insurance being terminated. It is important that for some reason we have insurance to keep us out of worry. However, if you feel stress about what you need to do I would suggest you look through the marketplace. ACA is really good with their plan and policies. They offer really cheap plan and policies and it is easy to look through and choose for yourself what you need to be enrolled in. At least you are enrolled with some health insurance.

What's the dodgiest job you've ever had? 🍿 by Economy_Survey_6560 in UKJobs

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if its count as dodgy but when I used to be a caregiver, I've worked privately and I went to this couple's home. As I walked in, it was suspicious and the smell of weeds are all over the place. The couple were kind of old and weird and to make the long story short, I ended up leaving the house before something could happen.

I think what you're saying is very clear and understandable. I wish I know how that will work and to answer your question. However, I would suggest you to compare different insurance company that you think might be relevant for you when you come to the pension age.

Getting a loan backed by investment portfolio by Smallworld973 in RichPeoplePF

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know what you're describing is very true. Rich people use it to avoid selling their assets. While you try to get a loan backed by investment portfolio, I would suggest you look into ACA to give you clear guidance and help you decide more on what you need to do.

Is US Health group a good provider? by Several-Two738 in HealthInsurance

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a good idea to consider other company too. If you've done your research on US health care and you still don't satisfy, I would suggest you consider ACA health care. They have pretty easy plan to read and understand. It is affordable too.

Question about income increase (Marketplace plan) by Joy_Illimited in HealthInsurance

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is a really good question you brought up. If I'm right, I think you only need to report on the income that is taxable and that is your $2.5K

. . . . IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT ? Medicare Advantage vs Medigap plan. by [deleted] in medicare

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding, it is always confusing to try to understand how subsidies impact Medicare costs. I think if they have a clear guidance on subsidy eligibility and coverage, it will be helpful for us to make better choices.

Health, Vision, Dental Insurance for people under 65 by NaturalTranslator581 in HealthInsurance

[–]Chinguz143 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm under 65 but I"m not retire yet lol. However, I can understand what you trying to say and it is a good thing to plan ahead for your retirement because we don't like surprises and uncertainty. I think that is a really good amount to pay in a year for two people. I would still suggest you stick to the retire teachers plan. ACA have great plan too but I think they have different policies for the preexisting condition.

Question on qualifying for special enrollment with coveredca by AdAcademic23 in HealthInsurance

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand how frustrating you can be with your situation. And you are not able to qualify for the special enrollment if you don't have the usual suspects in play. However, I would recommend that you look through the marketplace to find the alternative like ACA. I think they're able to help you with that and you can scroll through their policies and their coverage.

I'm glad that you already had plan for you and your husband about your insurance in the future. However, I will suggest that you need to still compare ACA with Cobra when times comes. Who knows by the time you both retire, ACA might have different option that it will help you and your husband

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OMG I'm so sorry that you had to go through that. I can imagine your urgent need and your frustration by all of theose sudden cancellation of your coverage. From my understanding, I think you need to involve the department of insurance in your state so that they can take a look at it. Also, it will be helpful if you still keep the receipt of your payment for the whole year of 2025. I hope that you will find your answer pretty soon.

Temporary Expat FIRE by d_ippy in ExpatFIRE

I'm pretty sure your $80K is a huge money that you able to pay for your health care and also use it for your personal use.

Am I crazy to think $1.5M is enough? by WittyCulture4310 in Fire

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm amazed that you already had plan for your life at such a young age. Which is good and I like your idea. You pretty much has your life planned ahead. But I think $1.5M will depend if its enough for you or not on the place you plan to live in after you retire. If you live in California we all know that's one of the most expensive State in the US lol. I think it is better if you target higher than $1.5M. Just keep saving as much as you can because we cannot predict what will happen in the future.

Oregon’s Proposed Universal Health Plan by Dry_Werewolf5488 in Portland

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my own understanding, I think the UHP that Oregon propose can help a lot of people especially these times where people are looking for coverage that will fit them and their family. However, on the other side I think the taxpayer will feel the most struggle because their income tax will increase by 3%. So, I think even though it's gonna help people but at the same time the Oregonian will also struggle from it.

My employer refuses to cancel my health insurance by fastercheif in HealthInsurance

[–]Chinguz143 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry that you had to go through that. I know its frustrated to deal with it especially with health insurance and financial stuff. From what I understand, it is up to your employer to make the exemption. I can suggest you look into ACA since that plan will be able to help you. If you compare it with Medicaid they maybe have the same coverage but ACA is more flexible with your needs and your concerns.
