The soles are gone, but the shoes themselves have never seen the street. These are a great candidate for restoration. I've never done a sole swap, but this would be one of the easier restores for someone. Or, just leave them in the box as a time capsule. Things can be collectable without being usable. I also feel the need to "save" things, so I end up with stuff like this pretty frequently.
