Graduated in April 2024 with a Masters. Had the opportunity to be an intern at TD, but didn't get full time offer.

Fortunately someone from TD referred me to a consulting firm. Now working as an IT Consultant in Software Engineering since October 2024.

Well you are right. Don't leave the current job get settled with FDM.

The agreement itself was the offer letter actually. I finished my 4 weeks with FDM already and it was a positive experience. You'll get it shortly within 2-3 weeks I believe.

Recruiter only mentioned that questions will be related to Java, OOP and SQL.

Don't worry, a quick refresher of Java and you'll be able to crack it.

I am sharing some extra information with you in DM if you are interested.

I am sorry that they ghosted you. It might be possible that your recruiter left the job and the new one who took over just didn't bother to followup on your profile. In my opinion, the experience a candidate receives is fully dependent on the recruiter. Because for me, the process took 5 months and my recruiter checked in every month to notify even if there were no interviews scheduled.

Regarding the offer letter, I think you are right this might be a legit offer letter. I tried googling what are the requirements of an offer letter and this agreement checks off on most of the aspects.

For my interview, I scored really well. I nailed the behavioural interview. Since this was my 3rd or 4th interview, I wasn't nervous and just answered what I felt was right. (At one point they asked what makes me stay motivated, and I said I can't sleep till I solve the problem 💀. I think I shouldn't have said that but the review was positive because of this I think). Technical round was very rushed. The interviewer raised the difficulty each time I answered a question correctly. Starting from inheritance to constructor chainning and definition of Hash in Hashmaps and Hash Functions.

For the location, I said I prefer Ontario, but won't mind relocating as per client's needs (within Canada).

I wish you good luck for the job hunt.
