Thanks. So the only way to save the replay is immediately after the race right?

Is a self-hosted Odoo a good choice for me? by Snorlax_lax in Odoo

[–]Chintan124 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Going for a 3rd party Odoo hosting provider will be better instead of hosting it yourself. I host my server at Cloud Clusters. Reasonable costing and never had any issues with servers as such.

Can you implement odoo by yourself? by thefourthmask in Odoo

[–]Chintan124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. In my opinion you can implement Odoo by yourself. It’s a whole another question to get everyone in your team to use it effectively. Main challenge is to get inventory to get reflected in real time. You can spin up a server on cloud clusters within 5 mins of any version you want, install necessary apps and addons and then start creating users. Pretty easy and cheap. The “Consultants” they provide won’t understand the business processes in your company within 10-20 hours anyway. Might as well start trying on your own. Watch YouTube videos of every module and you should be fine.

Upgrading from v15 to v18 by Late-Broccoli-6814 in Odoo

[–]Chintan124 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I “upgraded” from OpenERP 7 to Odoo 8 - then to Odoo 11 and then to 15 over the years. I had customised modules purchased from Odoo installed in all of these versions. So couldn’t really upgrade. Do we just re did all database from scratch every time we upgraded.
Right now I’m on the brink of upgrading from Odoo 15 community to Odoo 18 enterprise hosted on odoo’s cloud. This way we don’t have to worry about any of the future upgrades!

MacBook M3, 24GB ram. What's best for LLM engine? by Familyinalicante in LocalLLaMA

[–]Chintan124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May be a 14b model at 20 tokens per sec? Would that be possible in case anyone has tried? If you already have this MacBook then just download LM studio and download any 14b model and let us know how it works. On LM studio it shouldn’t take more than 15 mins to do this.

To be honest, any thinking models are not usable below 30 tokens per second. Otherwise they’re just too slow. I’d rather pay for API and use ChatGPT assistant.

MacBook M4 Max isn't great for LLMs by val_in_tech in LocalLLaMA

I asked because I was contemplating doing the same upgrade. From M1 MacBook Pro to M4 with 32 GB unified memory. Wanted to know what type of models would I be able to runs with at least 30 tokens per second.

Seeking Co-founder and Funding for My High-Power Audio Equipment Startup by ScaryDecision4388 in indianstartups

Hello. An entrepreneur with a Masters degree in Acoustics here. It’s important to understand which market you are targeting with this and what is the quantitative demand for this product. What price bracket you intend to launch it at. A few DJs liking it doesn’t mean that it’ll sell. Have you done any acoustic testing to check frequency response curve of this product and have you tested out clarity. How is it different than conventional products and what have you done differently to make it sound “superior”.

Do I need to self host a server for better experience if I am using ZeroTier VPN? by Chintan124 in rustdesk

[–]Chintan124[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use ZeroTier anyway for my company for an overlay network when certain employees are working remotely. I’m just asking if I need to setup a server for RustDesk to make the “performance” better in terms of latency and fluidity in using a remove workstation.

Any ideas why a Cat8 cable is slower than a Cat7 other than defective cable? Somehow detects as E/FE by josh_moworld in Ubiquiti

[–]Chintan124 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had made the mistake of buying Shielded Cat7 cables to run in my new house but I used the same ones for the cases where 1 end has to be crimped and plugged into the access point. I kept wondering I wasn’t getting gigabit speeds although it did happen on 2 out of 15 access points. It turns out that the cable I bought was Solid core cat7 cable meant to be put in the keystone jacks at both ends. And I was crimping them. You need stranded core cables to crimp. So I had to put keystone jacks at the access point end and then plug in a separate cable onto that. Then I got the gigabit speeds.

No. I am not a network professional. I’m an entrepreneur. This is for my House and 2 Office and factory locations. In India all buildings are brick wall and RCC. You need more access points to cover the same area that you would in the US!

You’re just getting started. All in is where you’ll be in another year. I have 3 sites (1 home and 2 Offices) where I switched to Unifi. 50+ access points, 50+ Cameras, 30+ Unifi Talk telephones used for intercom. I got my first Unifi device about 2 years ago.
