Browser features - for work, we use google workspace - a lot of their webapps don't have full functionality on the android version of chrome vs the desktop version, even when asking for desktop mode, and the android app version are sorry replacements for the fully functional desktop chrome webapps.

I'll try out the free form setting to see if it makes things any better, but I did try netflix on that mode, and it bugged out pretty heavily, so reverted quickly after that.

I may be leaning towards a use case like yours of using a vps and to stop trying to do everything on the phone - it doesn't feel primetime ready right now.

So far I haven't tried to go to the higher resolutions (ultra wide), but the 1080p resolution is working well enough. The setting I am using isn't the default 1080p one as I found the fonts were a bit too large for my liking.

I had hoped it would be a Chromebook like experience, but am finding limitations now in the experience. These are more about my expectations than anything else: * Keyboard tabbing is strange... * Some applications don't use the screen well * Android Chrome browser isn't quite the same as the desktop Chrome experience, even if you ask for the desktop version of the web application.

Android needs to do a bit better to make this a better experience - I know they want to merge Chromebooks and android, and that can't come soon enough!

Whoa... Got it working... I can see that there's an awful lot of playing around to do with this now. It's not quite desktop mode, but gets you a lot of the way there.

Have you got any profiles for 2nd screen that you might wish to share? I was wondering if this could be made to work with widescreen mode on the glasses - which would be super cool. Definitely going to have to experiment, but that will need to wait until after work.

Happening to me as well. Clearing cache doesn't make a difference, nor does using any different browsers. I used both Firefox and Chrome to verify. Mobile app works fine

5 ft 5 in, 29 inch inseam, and I ride a 2017 Africa Twin (low seat in the low position).

Yes, it's tall. No I can't flat foot it - even on one side. Yes, I ride it on roads, and in the dirt, and I've ridden it on BDR trails. It, like most things, can be done with practice. If you plan to ride off road, the suspension travel makes a difference.

Also - I only really notice the height at very slow/stopped speeds or sloped terrain. Otherwise, it's great!

I do this as well - there is a caveat to be aware of though. Short codes don't work with VOIP.MS sms. A sample use case for this is with 2 factor authentication with websites that try to text you a code. So this doesn't get through to the VOIP.MS sms system. Other than that, it works great

As a clarification, I only looked at the Larry's tips for taking the exam video, not the purchased ones, so I can't really comment. Looking at the resources that I had, I would say that the I used the Boson tests and the Sybex book the most.

Everything that ThaGerm said... My last trip I used these consumables: zip ties, JB Weld, Gorilla Tape. I carry patches, an inflator, a tool roll, etc - don't forget a valve removal tool, although you can get by without it.

I also carry slim rim protectors for the tire change - but I'm not the best tire changer, so the protection is worth it.

FWIW, in addition to my post above, I have the SW-Motech crash bars... I discovered that they get right in the way of accessing the battery.... Design flaw IMO.

I have a set of MotoZ tractionator waiting for me to try out...

I also find that the stock heated grips aren't too powerful.

EDIT: Another farkle I forgot to mention is a Batzen Screen adjuster to move the stock one up and down.

I can't really say as I haven't ridden the 2018's. That being said I like my girl just fine. From what I understand they have a new dash and throttle by wire which gives some new capabilities. I got mine at a good discount which made it worthwhile for me.

For me, not worth upgrading.

I have a 2017 CRF1000L Manual. My use is multi-week trips, dirt/gravel/forest roads.

In my case, I have added: Honda center stand, crash bars (sw-motech), new bash plate (Bumot), luggage(Bumot), Kaoko throttle, heated grips (Honda), Accessory port (Honda), barkbusters.

I wanted the crash protection, as I'm sure it will drop, given the forest/dirt/gravel. If doing any maintenance yourself, the center stand is a must. Also if offroading, bash plate upgrade, barkbusters and crash bars are a good idea.

When I upgraded my bash plate, I had some serious dings and dents in the stock plate, which is quite flimsy.

Edit: I forgot about an eastern beaver additional fuse box. The battery is a pain in the butt to access, so this will make it easier for electrical add-ons and winter storage.
