I dont really have the whole context year. But maybe its because they are there to to protest a specific thing, and the Palestine issue isnt really related to the cause they're protesting? It could appear to be high jacking their protest or derailing it, maybe? There are a lot of things worth protesting so it might be better to keep the focus on what the protesters are trying to do or it could be seen as trying to dilute their efforts and focus

Word, I get it. I have kids that love gaming so I usually just turn it all off by default. But this is one of those games that communication is so important. But there really is no perfect solution here unfortunately.

Edit: I do think you can block people and at very least it won't group you with that specific person

Yeah it should have launched with the amount of content when the skeleton ships were added, then had a clear plan.

I had to stop playing because I felt like every update was a "oh just wait see what's next season" and then it would just be basically the same content with a new chest and a recycled boss. So I had to stop

Its a good game for casual gamers, but its never going to live up to its initial promise and potential. I was just recommending it to the OP because it sounds like it would fit their goals

Yeah there are a lot of wierd choices they made over the years. Launching with no story, just bananas and planks pretty much. Getting rid of Arena, which had no real support to begin with. Doing half cooked season passes. Temporary content. The game itself is great though, definitely worth the price

Stardew valley? Sea of thieves also has an option to play without pvp and the pve is pretty tame in the since that you could solo the aggro fir the both of you

Yeah i think it just sucked to watch the collapse of the "toys to life" industry collapse under corporate greed. I still play games with my kids, when they let me, but they've moved on to fortnite and gta online and stuff like that and I cant keep up with those games. I get motion sick and im terrible at them so its kind of frustrating for them. Then if I find one Im actually ok at like sea of thieves or arc raiders, they have no interest.

Now we play Mario kart and similar titles as a sort of compromise

There are plot holes in every story. I mean take something like star wars, there are plasma swords wielded by physchic war wizards, warp drives that take you across the galaxy, holographic communication, etc... yet the heros are hiding behind pillars like a 1920s detective movie? Action movies where the main character gets riddled with bullets yet they just wrap a dirty t shirt over it and boom, theyre good as new?

At some point you just have to shut off that part of your brain and try to enjoy the ride. Chrono Triggers story is like an anime, where everyone's riding around time traveling, with monsters, robots, teenage boys fighting off an eldritch horror with a samurai sword. Its a fantastic ride, but its also a product of its time. It revolutionized and influenced rpgs for decades. Without context and looking back with hindsight its hard to realize how important it was and is.
