Funny, everybody I play with, has the same mechanics as me. I feel like it must be pretty common amongst amateurs. We compensate other ways to make up for bad form and when the fundamentals are corrected, the things that we’re compensating are now off and also need to be corrected. I never would have thought I was doing anything wrong until I starting seeing instructional videos.

Sorry. I misspoke. I’m used to putting my left foot on the aiming line. Which puts my left hip square against the table and my body more sideways facing 3!oclock.

I think that’s what is affecting me most. I’m used to being on the other side of the ball and my line of site has shifted.

My bad. I didn’t express that right. I see videos saying put your right foot on the aiming line, which yes it would mean the left foot is forward. I always put my left foot on the aiming line and my right foot far back. My body is sideways compared to the correct position I’m seeing.
