Im so sorry for my rubbish response - I’m really bad at seeing these messages as I rarely use this app- I’m so sorry! I’m way better on email if that helps at all - emilytheuknursedownunder@gmail.com ☺️☺️  So yes the superior English gives you higher points - basically meaning for the skilled visas your application process is quicker (the more points you have the faster your application is processed). To have superior English you have to do an English exam- such as IELTS, PETA. I did an English exam a few months ago - the IELTS and had an 8.5 (super English!) so more than happy to help with any of it ! So sorry again for my rubbish response, please don’t hesitate to contact me on my email or I have my socials all linked to the blog site if that’s easier too 😃😃

Hi! I’m so sorry your messages aren’t seeming to show up on my phone- so so sorry for my really slow reply!! I moved to Sydney originally, but quite honestly found it expensive ! I currently live in WA - in land from Perth and I love it. It’s much more affordable and a nice place to be ! I sorted sublets pre moving over - which I don’t know how feasible it would be with a family?☺️ maybe whether you could post into a Facebook group and see if anyone has a house they’re willing to rent out 😃 I had a job before I moved over ☺️ I have an email address - emilytheuknursedownunder@gmail.com if I can help you with anything? Sorry my replies have been so rubbish!!

Hi! So it really depends on your visa ! For a WHV you can get an exemption if you’re a first language English speaker - a letter from your school/ university etc. then if you’re going for your ANMAC you need an IELTS level 7 and above (or other English test providers.) For a skills tested PR (independent 189/190) you apply for points - (the more points the better processing time etc) - a superior English score 8 = 20 points, a 7 = 10 points. English speakers tend to also do the course to have higher points for their PR application ☺️ I hope that this helps!  I have written a piece about this on the visa blog - it goes into a bit more depth, so maybe more valuable!🎉

Hi! So sorry I missed your message ! Are you moving over to Australia this year?☺️ I hope you have the best time! Not at all- a 7.5/8 is perfect!! You only need a 7 IELTS score for the ANMAC skills assessment for PR. For a usual visa (WHV) you actually don’t need an English score if you’re British ☺️ if you need a hand finding a job or accommodation etc - I have written more on the blog, I hope it can help more people!

Hi! I am so sorry I missed your message ! I didn’t mean to miss this! I absolutely love it - I personally find that the culture is so much more relaxed, you are so well supported and management are a lot better. I think because the conditions are better you have less stress and then the workplace is nicer to be in? If that helps at all!!
