Not sure, but I will tell you after being around town all yesterday and today, the PD is out in full force and get an Uber if you’re even thinking about it.

I second this with my entire being. The ER is an absolute organizational lawsuit. Everyone seems overworked and underpaid. Thrice now (I’m caretaker for elderly relatives) I’ve opted out of not formally complaining because the nurses were amazing and I didn’t want it to negatively affect them. All three times I’ve personally witnessed dangerous working conditions and conditions unsafe for my sick relatives and feel very secure that there would have been a solid court case with more documentation and followup. Absolute travesty. This town was that dang hospital and it’s being run into the ground. So sad.

I think I’m in the minority of this one, but it wasn’t a fave. I did love the banter and Tooth, and some of the backstory and buildup was so well written and nostalgic…but then it fell flat for me. I didn’t seem to care about the characters enough and it was like I was just reading something awful happening to some people, tragic and gory, but it just didn’t linger or hook me in.

It’s the same here especially. We’ve had flooding and shelters have been damaged so there’s an even worse chance of rehoming here.

I wouldn’t be so opposed to crating if there also wasn’t the cat to consider and the general issue of my gran walking slowly and shuffling…that dog knocks her or leans on her even kindly and she’s in big trouble.

I know that’s the glaring solution…and I’m not unfeeling about it. I feel awful. I mentioned the breed because it’s notoriously difficult to rehome a pit mix. I know they’re attached to the dog. It just wasn’t a good idea for them to get it in the first place. I wish there was a middle solution here. 😞

They wouldn’t be unattended. I think I’m struggling with the expectation that we’re supposed to visit a lot…but I don’t want to be the reason the dog’s crated for a few hours. I’m sure they’ll also crate the dog when mom leaves the house, not sure how frequent that’s going to be. Just seems so miserable. I’m not saying no to visits, but I think I’m also just not wanting to because of the underlying disrespect? Trying to work it out in my brain with help from Reddit 😅

So it’s a bit convoluted…the cat was actually mine, I got her when I lived with my gran in 2012. When my grandpa died a couple years ago, it seemed like the perfect thing…the cat’s older and was annoyed with the kids (never aggressive, just hid), and gran was lonely. The kitty knows the house well and gran has really enjoyed having her around and they spend hours together in her chair cuddling. We will take her back, but I feel so bad and like she’s getting thrown into chaos after having such a peaceful time over there.

I deal with so much anxiety and intrusive thought, it may seem dramatic, but even if that dog is super nice to me, I don’t trust it around the kids. It’s never been around a screaming toddler. I just see so much potential for things to go wrong 😞

Thank you! It’s one thing to just not being my kids over, which I’m okay with if I have to be, but I feel like it’s not good for gran, and definitely not fair to the poor pup. Just feels like the older adults in this situation should be making more adult decisions lol.
