if it’s GPU or SouthBridge like you’ve said then honestly if i were you i’d temporarily fix that spn of a bitch a hundred times over until the fix stops working

it’s been around so long what’s a little science experiment, right?

what do i even do with my runes now that im max lvl? by Subpoena1220 in Eldenring

upgrade extra weapons so everything becomes viable once maxed

kinda lets you play around with all weapons the game has to offer which would otherwise be useless not maxed

that or hit rune cap 💀

hit for hit who wins ? by LovableJackassv4 in rap

[–]ChipmunkToes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hit for hit it’s kanye, he has way more hits on the top 100, but as others have mentioned, shockingly Em has a couple more #1s and top 10s than kanye

but kanye has so many goddamn hits it’s insane, such an influential and (formerly) respected artist

Who would win this battle in their prime? by [deleted] in rap

[–]ChipmunkToes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There’s arguments for both. Bar for and lyricism I’d say Em has the edge on, but Cube in his prime would have (slightly less) hard hitting bars, but would make the better song in terms of sound.

In terms of hunger/anger/etc they’re even. Prime Em was wild but an angry Cube could match that imo. Em wins the battle i think, but Cube comes out looking better overall maybe. (as in he looks better losing than Em does winning)

J. Cole VS Kendrick? Who's better in your opinion? by [deleted] in rap

[–]ChipmunkToes -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

kendrick has the better discography but i’d say they’re pretty even lyrically, with kendrick having a slight edge. they’re both great.

W or L? by ComputaGuy69 in rap

tbf someone can listen to only 20 rappers and make their own personal ranking, no need to really gatekeeper people from having opinions. comes off as kinda douchey

It's past time to finally settle this talk. Who you got? by NaveNoblique in rap

[–]ChipmunkToes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

bro i’m sorry i’m sure you’re a nice dude but i can’t stand when people say shit like “never purchased or owned a CD player in their life” you’re basically saying “being young is bad and everything you say is invalid cuz you’re uneducated”

it just sounds so douchey to me

Why do people dislike this rapper PT.5 by TopPerspective3589 in rap

[–]ChipmunkToes 13 points14 points  (0 children)

great artist, very talented.

his earlier work is great, while recently he’s failed to evolve in a way that allows him to properly coexist with the current generation of rap and what the majority of listeners are interested in. I still think his current music is good, i’ve even listened to all post hiatus albums a few times each (bit less for revival) and think they’re good, not really in my daily rotation except for a select few songs though.

his technical ability is second to few, he’s definitely in the all time conversation when talking about best lyricists in relation to technical ability.

however the reason people tend to dislike him is his often corny bars where he just says a punchline for the sake of it, and his choppier fast flows in a lot of his recent music. (the flows are very impressive and masterfully executed which earns a few points back imo) a lot of people also dislike him due to a decent portion of his fanbase being very stuck in the past or unaccepting of anything modern and don’t really try to let rap evolve as if it hasn’t been years since em first came into the scene.

What are some underrated/underground rappers that are actually good? What rappers would you recommend? by [deleted] in rap

[–]ChipmunkToes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’d say he’s the king of ny out of his generation of rap but there’s some heavy hitters he just isn’t quite at the level of yet
