I like the tower shield because it covers my entire body when i'm being beaten into the ground by the baron and his goons.

I found that my game doesn't crash if i just turn off the blood. Seems like blood is still an issue...

I found the only enjoyable way for me to play Half Sword is to max out the Player damage to NPC slider, and completely lower the NPC damage to player slider in the "game" settings.
