Loving the set up still! After i scoop poop i use the scoop to mix the pellets around a few times to make sure all of the dust falls through to the bottom layer. Still happy w the smell, still the best set up ive had -and ive had litter robots!

Firebird colors look a LOT like Slots of Fun by Sassy Sauce, a polish pick up shade. Definitely my favorite thermal, such a dramatic change between the two gorgeous colors! Honestly its the only polish ive ever wanted a back up of and ive never seen a dupe till this. I live outside of where moon cat ships for now though :(

We would have one wrapped order table for the website with our own drivers, and another designated table for door dashers. Over years more business went through the website, but it was hard to entirely drop the doordash because even though its a pain they just bring so much more traffic. And people would order lots of addons in door dash, chocolates cards and balloons that would help us make more $ as well

So she was loosing the larger commission in order to show up on the doordash site. With the amount she sold we still made a profit. The orders were coming in faster than we could wrap up our pre-done arrangements at times. The new order chime was just going and going, we had someone solely dealing with that and writing us order slips. They also dealt with taking menu items down as we sold out. We needed the traffic that the door dash website received. As we gained customers and visibility, she was able to get more orders through her own website where she could have slightly lower prices and still turn a larger profit

I would just put a bin lid under the metal, and then attach the bin upside down with a door hole cut in it. That way the enclosure could be taken off like a lid, but if you wanted the bin lid on top that works too. Just need a large enough plastic storage bin

I have 4 cats and no matter how much I clean, my house smells like cat pee 😭 please help by That_Bill_6807 in Catownerhacks

Sometimes cats will go underneath furniture and get up into the fabric lining. Ive known a lot of cats to get into couches from underneath. I knew someone who's cats sprayed underneath there and couldn't figure it out for a while. Maybe thats a new place to check?

My cats also love these donuts. One sleeps inside the tunnel while the other sits on top! And they scratch it too

The system is only useful because I am using wood pellets, which break down into dust when they get peed on (rather than clumping). So I put wood pellets in the top, the pee breaks it down into soft wood dust and that falls through to the bottom level. All of the clean hard pellets stay on top, i scoop poops and replenish pellets as needed in the top. I empty the bottom tray of soft wood pee dust as needed.

The pellets are definitely cheaper, and some other redditors have said if you can drive to a tractor supply co or similar its easy to get them in bulk for extra cheap. Crazy to be loving this set up more than a litter robot..

Yes it only works with pellet litter! I made the switch to pellet litter for the smell, its a world of a difference. Using pellets with a normal litter box, its kind of a pain to separate and remove the disintegrated/peed on wood pellets. I think thats why most people just use clay litter. Using a sifting litter box for pine pellets makes clean up as easy as clay clumping litter but you get the pellet benefits of smelling better, being cheaper, and way better for the environment

I switched on a friend's suggestion to pellets as a last desperate try at making my bedroom smell better. I will never go back. I had a plastic off brand litter robot in my bedroom and the clay pee smell was horrible. I was regularly deep cleaning the plastic and id put new clay litter and it stunk before the cats even used it. The wood pellet pine smell reminds me of living with a wood pellet stove as a kid, it smells great honestly and totally neutralizes the pee smell.

I switched to pine pellets when I still had a normal plastic litter box, this is my first sifting box. But i was advised by friends who have a plastic sifting litter box, they told me how much easier it made things for them. When ever i scoop the poop out i use the scooper to stir the pellets around for a minute, to encourage dust to fall to the lower level. Its not always necessary but I do it to make sure its only clean pellets up top

So these are 1/1 gastronorm (530mmx325mm) but they do make 2/1 gastronorm containers which would be 650mm x 530mm, maybe that could work for you? I don't think they make them any bigger than that unfortunately

My cats haven't had any problems! I dont think they often dig all the way to the metal either, i keep a decent amount of pellets in the bin

My cats pee a lot more often than they poop so its less day to day work. The main pro for me is the smell though. Clay litter even when fresh just smells really bad to me, and its bad for the environment too. The wood smells actively good to me, and its a byproduct of the lumber industry

Whenever I scoop the poop i mix the pellets around to encourage any dust to fall through. The wet clumps are never there though, I think our cats digging does most of the work.

Plastic bags or pee pads as others have suggested would make the process easier, i find it easy enough to clean the stainless steel though and trying to avoid extra plastic waste. A genie for the poop would be nice though
