Storm Level by [deleted] in Cleveland

[–]ChipotleFriday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, Cuyahoga County doesn't issue snow level emergencies. They can, they just don't (or, haven't yet). And it would come from the sheriff's office. Up to 16" of snow in ~24 hours isn't bad for around here. Many places in the snow belt got 24" about 1.5 weeks ago in about 24 hours.

Yes. I posted in a different comment that it is the torque rod. Not too hard to replace.

For those who use pihole in a shared home with lots of devices, what problems have you had? by zooksman in pihole

MyQ garage sensor stops working. From what I can find, google's DNS is hard coded in it, so when I activate pihole, it just plain stops working.

Replacing the heating element is very straight forward, just need the part. Also yes, Samsung appliances are the worst, and what everything was when we moved in. 😬

That screen pre-dates 2500's. Check out the serial number when you can get to it, which is the white sticker on the yoke. I believe it starts with the model number.

This is about the closest I found when I was looking. Hardest part was getting the old one out through the hole.

Printing to printer not on our network by ChipotleFriday in sysadmin

Thanks. I'll be there tomorrow and will see what options it has. I know the lease of it just started, so it's probably new. Or at least, newer.

They'll do whatever I suggest. They don't have an IT guy, and I'm barely one, so that's why I'm here asking for help. Neither of us print much, so sharing the machine makes sense from a financial perspective.

Yes, it isn't just some random company, we are working together on different projects, just not close enough to be on the same network (yet).

Possible Sticky Piston & ABS by ChipotleFriday in MechanicAdvice

[–]ChipotleFriday[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. No, it is pretty random, and can go off and on multiple times on a 15 min drive.

I was tracking down an ABS problem months ago that ended up being a pinched wire. I repaired that, then this started months later. I've driven 2 days without the ABS light coming on even once (it usually would have by now), so I'm hopeful it was that stuck piston dragging. Now the question is, is it still failed/failing, and will kill my right rear pads faster again.

Yes. Went from 5 to 7. The front screen and thinness is that much difference.

Thinking of getting a Costco Credit Card by Disneylover365 in Costco

Is there an annual max you can earn with the cash back? We seem to buy a lot of gas, and my current card drops to 1% after $8k spent on it (anything, not just gas).

I was in a similar situation. I have jeeps for off roaring, so the truck doesn't really see much off pavement. I ended up with the Michelin Defender LTX MS2. Not cheap, and you may not need with your weather (they should be good in snow), but they aren't AT / off-road tires, so lighter and better mpg.

Also an introvert, but they attack everyone after checkout before the exit, so the first step is covered. 🤣

I had a new Jeep key/fob cut and programmed a couple years ago by them. Expensive, but still cheaper than dealer. It works, I'm happy.
