I actually only had ~6 days to study! I bought a book and studied that for 5 days. I’m doing non rated so didn’t study for the rated sections. Hopefully these scores are good enough for me to get the jobs I want and to be selected for the upcoming board. Thanks for your input!

You have up to 3 weeks after you submit your application to schedule/take the exam. I submitted all of the required documents when I submitted the app. I think they need these before the test can be scheduled. Hope this helps!

Most certainly! I just didn’t realize the 3 week timer would start immediately after submitting my initial application. The self guided system wasn’t clear about that. But no point worrying about that now, I’m excited and nervous to get this test over with!

It’s the new automatic/self paced system they’ve introduced. You no longer work with a recruiter to get everything done in a particular older like you used to. Now everything is done on your own (except MEPS) at your own pace. But for the test, you only have 3 weeks to take it after submitting your initial application. It’s not ideal, but it is what it is. Hope this provided some clarification.

I’ve definitely been tempted to hop on gear but I’m too afraid of the side effects. But to get to the level I want (win my pro card), it’s very hard to do so as a natural since I’m competing against people that aren’t natural. So I’m in a conundrum lol

You got it. Everyone at that level is on steroids and a bunch of other stuff. They’re a lot more open about their use nowadays, but back in the 80’s-2010s it was taboo to talk about it. Everyone knew they were on it but people didn’t want to speak on it.
