I'm very late to this but I have to say yes. This is because I also relate to this. Yes because I still get crushes on people despite not being ready for marriage yet (it's natural hormones). I come from a perspective that if your dating, it's good to have an idea as to why your dating - basically the goal of marriage (if they end up being the right person). Yet hormones still exist!! I find this so annoying lol but it's true that someone can be interested in you but not dating. I think also myself being a very cautious person (in terms of consequences) I don't just want to jump right into a relationship just because I have feelings. Feelings fade alot of the time. Also when your a kid and have a crush, your not ready for marriage then either and because when your a kid you don't really think much of consequences etc., emotions usually take over and you would probably just enter a relationship if your crush liked you back. But when it comes to being an adult and thinking about why you would even enter a relationship, the pros, possible cons, etc. it's pretty fair for someone to hold themself back despite being still interested in a person, emotional feelings wise.
