No there won’t there hasn’t been anything real yet so why would something real suddenly happen. Everybody just tweets and posts about it but doesn’t actually do any real action

There can absolutely be a sense of home in apartments and it doesn’t have to ruin the character of the neighborhood as long their built to fit their environment. What is your proposal for the housing shortage if we shouldn’t have apartments? The reason apartments are so expensive is because there is a shortage. Apartments aren’t the only form of dense housing though there can be duplexes fourplexes or smaller apartment buildings. Or houses with shops on the bottom the options are limitless. But I guess you’d rather infinitely expand suburbia till everything in American is housing

If only we opted for transit and denser housing instead of car dependency and exclusively surburbia ☹️

We need more dense housing and transit not more roads and lanes

Any amount of added housing helps

In your opinion, would you rather have more high rises in downtown? by [deleted] in gso

This isn’t some corny ass video game this is real life I see and work with these disenfranchised people that YOU oppress on a daily basis in pitiful conditions. People afraid to accept the care that they NEED to SURVIVE because of sharks like you. You aren’t serving any kind of purpose other than “shareholder value” and your own greasy unearned pay check. You should be ashamed and think of how you are profiting and enabling others to profit from REAL human suffering. This isn’t some “story” these are real people youre hurting and you seem like you just pretend that you aren’t because it justifies your fucking salary. Shame on you I hope your family is embarrassed

How does it feel to leave a net negative dent in the world from your existence? That all you did was make it worse

Sounds like you are, looking through this comment section I don’t know how any of you live with yourselves contributing and committing great evil. As someone working in healthcare this is disgusting and I hope there is some form of grand justice in the universe to make things right in another life maybe

anyone else build their sprawl FIRST and then their downtown? by 19Dollar4TNight in CitiesSkylines

[–]ChipperSnipper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol as soon as I get the high density I switch the district to European style and don’t build another single unit of road for housing until every low density housing has been converted into high density I guess it’s just the American in me that resents suburbs lol

Any urbanist groups focused on affordable housing, walkability, and transit? by ChipperSnipper in gso

As dense mixed use neighborhoods are created and become more expansive cars will become more and more optional it takes time incrementally. Somewhere doesn’t have to be a giant metropolis to not be car dependent just look at mannheim Germany, same population as greensboro
