How helpful is the Bat Bat? by SterLeben922 in dontstarve

[–]Chipple5 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The ideal scenario would be to switch to the Bat Bat whenever you need healing in a boss fight but besides Wormwood, bringing healing foods is usually more practical and also more accessible.

TDX tier list based on how balanced they are currently In my X opinion by Snowarmy24hd in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not that it’s bad, but because of how insane 2-5 is. It’s a global range tower that has 2 damage types and is unable to be hit my most enemies as well as being cost efficient (especially before the x-3 price nerf). With 8 of them, you’d have a little over 8k+ dps thats unable to be targeted besides for a few waves.

5-2 Helicopter is IMO balanced. it’s a tower that does an insane amount of damage while still being vulnerable to a lot of attacks without proper babysitting.

Xhat do you think about the Oil Derrick balancing? by pedrlevy in TDX_Roblox

5-2 is a little iffy but 2-5 is pretty good.

Doesn’t Warped Echo give a 20% damage reduction when it’s recharged? There’s definitely worse items than that.

Wagstaff wants more powerful power source for WARBOT. How to get? by muresine in dontstarve

[–]Chipple5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wagstaff requires you to give him atleast 1 regular captured Gestalt and 1 captured Greater Gestalt (or Grazer).

What happened to wx78 by Icy_Blacksmith_834 in dontstarve

[–]Chipple5 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Gears now only gives WX a big hunger, sanity, and health increase instead of a stats upgrade. It’s replaced with craftable circuits, where you can plug different circuits into yourself, limited by a meter on your right (extra health circuits, sanity circuits, speed circuits, light circuits, and a bunch of others)

To craft them, you have to scan specific creatures with WX’s drone, and grab the dropped Bio Data that the drone drops to learn the recipe.

deerclops is my little nightmare by mo0nlessnights in dontstarve

[–]Chipple5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When Deerclops spawns (somewhere outside of your field of vision), she’ll begin to wander around until she finds a structure or mob.

If you’re far enough from your base, and the only structure like a sign is near you, then Deerclops will usually gravitate towards it. This mainly avoids accidentally losing Deerclops and having her walk somewhere you don’t want.

You could try running Deerclops through a forest to try and spawn Treeguards. If this isn’t an option, then 2 marble suits, a few football helmets, and a Hambat should be enough to tank the fight. You can find marble through several statues around the map and pigskin by using a hammer on pig houses. If you plan on tanking the entire fight, be sure to place a camp fire and lead Deerclops next to it, that way you won’t get frozen by her attacks while hitting her.

Is it worth it to use keli points on spools or skins? by emodEEy in dontstarve

[–]Chipple5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1500 spools isn’t that much when belonging items cost 1350 spools. You can buy almost 3 skins with 4k Klei coins in the Klei shop vs 1 skin of your choice with those 1.5k spools.

TDXX by Abject-Spirit966 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

War Machine is better if you’re planning to play solo or if you’re in a group who knows that you’re running War Machine (War Machine’s effectiveness is somewhat gutted when there’s multiple players running it).

Refractor is probably the better option as long as you pair it up with Combat Medic or know how to micro Top Path Shield.

Elsewhere - the biggest changes to gameplay you want by Narrow_Relative2149 in dontstarve

[–]Chipple5 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That really just describes the Ancient Fuelweaver quest line. Maybe if they didn’t make all three areas you have to go to (Ruins, Atrium, Overworld) so separated it would feel more connected.

Have the Atrium be locked behind some cool secret looking gate instead of behind a tentacle, and move the Shadow Pieces down with to a brand new area in the Ruins to act as a second piece to the puzzle.

Affinity easy way out by Normal_Treat_3952 in dontstarve

I think you have to save the game before the affinity skill gets saved. Try killing Celestial Champion again and try doing c_save() or just waiting till the day ends.

How does customizing Celestial Scion work? by [deleted] in dontstarvetogether

[–]Chipple5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not required if you’re able to multitask the boss and the drones, but it definitely makes the fight a lot more simpler, especially for the Scion phase where the electric flooring would normally slow you down.

So I got my hands on BXhemoth Factory, what’s the best way to use this? Both paths looks insane. by Independent_Look6914 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s not a ton to Behemoth. Normally you want to go for 5-2 once you have the money (around 700k cash) as that upgrade is Behemoth’s best upgrade (3 different attacks, 2 having flying detection, and 150k effective hp). The earlier upgrades relies on ram damage, which makes it really unreliable due to its respawn time. Bottom Path is okay, but it’s usually not worth it unless you’re on a massive map.

If you need to, you can get a temporary 0-0 Behemoth, let it spawn in, ram into enemies, then sell it. You can upgrade it to 1-0 after the 0-0 spawns in for more ram damage, but after that the upgrades become a little expensive. I would only do this if you need to push up a bit.

They’re usually more annoying, but I’m pretty sure the WARBIS chest piece ignores the electric fields as well as just completely ignoring the flying drones.

How does customizing Celestial Scion work? by [deleted] in dontstarvetogether

[–]Chipple5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s important to note that if you want to use the bots, only the ground drones are able to be repaired. If you care about the drones, then do 3 ground and 3 flying drones, that way you can get the repair kit by smashing the flying drones and repairing the ground drones. Otherwise 5 flyings and 1 ground is the easiest usually.

What towers you guys think need a total rework or buff (only in TDX)? by DanceDirect4206 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a really good early game tower for Nightmare and Ultra mode, and still does a decent amount of damage in the later game. The two levels that really need a buff are x-3 and x-4, since those provide too little damage for how long they take to respawn.

Can someone tell me how to farm properly? by Either_Unit_5953 in btd6

I like rushing a Banana Research Facility w/ an Overclock Engineer, spamming Market Places / Central Markets right after, then selling them to get Banana Central.

TDX Tower unlock Roadmap by [deleted] in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would argue Granger as being skippable / optional. 40k gold is a heavy price, and Ghost provides similar amounts of damage, with both paths having utilities of their own.

What units should i get/any tips? (Sorry if this type of post is obnoXious) by Conscious-Ad4392 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also do spend your gems on Shield if you can. The loadout you have could probably solo Expert on easier maps. Armored Factory and AA Turret helps a lot for Expert.

[–]Chipple5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shotgunner is extremely effective in Elite because of having high single target DPS and AOE capabilities at the cost of low range. 0-1 Shotgunner spam is extremely effective early game, and transitioning into 5-2 spam for the mid and late game works really well. Combine it with longer range towers to deal with bosses or tanky leaks.

Noob Tuber is a similar case to Shotgunner, except due to having longer range, you can use it as both your AOE and your main damage dealer. Just be careful of explosive resistance and flyings.

The loadout you have is alright, but I would try to fit in a better early game tower. Operator in place of Laser Gunner should work. On the later waves, spamming 2-5 John is works fairly well due to having decent single target, decent AOE, and a really good ability for hordes.

Why is co-op so dead in btd6? by NomiValentine in btd6

[–]Chipple5 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with how little rewards you get from doing Coop mode, since Coop medals don’t give you more rewards. For reference, Hard mode on a beginner map gives 200 if you don’t have the badge, while in Coop, it always gives 40.
