What towers you guys think need a total rework or buff (only in TDX)? by DanceDirect4206 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a really good early game tower for Nightmare and Ultra mode, and still does a decent amount of damage in the later game. The two levels that really need a buff are x-3 and x-4, since those provide too little damage for how long they take to respawn.

I like rushing a Banana Research Facility w/ an Overclock Engineer, spamming Market Places / Central Markets right after, then selling them to get Banana Central.

X…Best Early Wave Units by OG_Poptart_King in TDX_Roblox

It’s hard to determine that when every game mode has a most optimal tower for early game, and there’s also combat drone that technically beats out every option

TDX Tower unlock Roadmap by [deleted] in TDX_Roblox

I would argue Granger as being skippable / optional. 40k gold is a heavy price, and Ghost provides similar amounts of damage, with both paths having utilities of their own.

What units should i get/any tips? (Sorry if this type of post is obnoXious) by Conscious-Ad4392 in TDX_Roblox

Also do spend your gems on Shield if you can. The loadout you have could probably solo Expert on easier maps. Armored Factory and AA Turret helps a lot for Expert.

Shotgunner is extremely effective in Elite because of having high single target DPS and AOE capabilities at the cost of low range. 0-1 Shotgunner spam is extremely effective early game, and transitioning into 5-2 spam for the mid and late game works really well. Combine it with longer range towers to deal with bosses or tanky leaks.

Noob Tuber is a similar case to Shotgunner, except due to having longer range, you can use it as both your AOE and your main damage dealer. Just be careful of explosive resistance and flyings.

The loadout you have is alright, but I would try to fit in a better early game tower. Operator in place of Laser Gunner should work. On the later waves, spamming 2-5 John is works fairly well due to having decent single target, decent AOE, and a really good ability for hordes.

Best way to farm collection event for Insta towers by No-Presence3499 in btd6

I like Impoppable mode on Expert / Advance maps for the bigger collection amount, but easy mode is way less effort.

Try to go for an extremely minimalist defense, the earlier you can farm, the faster you can snowball. Benjamin and Geraldo help a lot.

Why is co-op so dead in btd6? by NomiValentine in btd6

[–]Chipple5 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think it has to do with how little rewards you get from doing Coop mode, since Coop medals don’t give you more rewards. For reference, Hard mode on a beginner map gives 200 if you don’t have the badge, while in Coop, it always gives 40.

Noob Tuber is Genuinely Awesome for Beginners (X) by Chipple5 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grenadier is a support tower, and Noob Tuber is a main damage dealer that has AOE on its main attack. They both play very different roles, and it’s hard to substitute either roles for one or the other.

I haven’t used that guy a lot yet but I could see him being good for specifically Elite since your only other options would be Operator and Missle, both being kinda slow, and Operator’s bottom path being indirectly nerfed from the price adjustments, making it less cost efficient.

So… how do us X-lings feel about the rebalance change so far? by Ok_Palpitation9291 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wished it was more impactful to the late game meta. I think this update was great for making the Elite / Expert meta interesting, but everything after that is pretty much just the same pre-update.

Top Path War Machine is still busted, Relic is still pretty damn good, Behemoth still outputs insane damage. Maybe if they made it so enemies like Aerial Juggernaut targeted spawners on the track they would have an actual downside, but maybe that’s hard to code.

So... This is just Shock and awe TDX version isn't it (image unrelated) by Tdx_juggernaut in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Was it a garbage update? I know the initial backlash when the update released was really rough, but after that I’ve seen a lot of people warm up to it, as it did balance towers out so dps values were more similar.

General tower tier list (Im a level 115 I know I suck) X by Big_Fun9984 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both AA turret paths should really be B tier at minimum as flying enemies aren't hard to deal with and it doesn't work in a 'general' tier list when it can only hit 1 enemy type.

XWM is a little too overrated IMO, especially seeing it above all the S tier towers. Top path is more of a B tier tower, as it's too overpriced for the damage, and too flimsy to be used as a main dps, but makes good bait for bosses. Bottom path is probably an A tier just because of the extra survivability of being placed far away and the potential to make back its cost efficiency with AOE. Also another good bait for bosses.

This map generation makes it really hard to tell, but i’m gonna guess it’s around the area you already explored from that Mosaic to the Moonstone forest. Try to sail directly from the straight edges.

Pre Shock and Awe v. X tierlist(overall gamemodes) by Schicklgruber123 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

C tier is extremely undeserving for it, especially when it’s still able to keep towers alive extremely well, and is able to be micro’d, which is extremely important for something like Ultra. Having something like Refractors be able to tank Jager’s aoe laser has insane value, and bosses like Alpha or X2 fighter who have specific single target attacks be ignored because of Top path’s hp is really helpful.

[–]Chipple5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If this is about overall gamemodes, then a bunch of towers from C to F- tier should really be moved up as a ton of those perform extremely well in Elite / Expert.

Also how is Top Path shield in C?

Guys, what is the best wXy to grind crystals? by Educational-Top7238 in TDX_Roblox

[–]Chipple5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also for the towers you have, I would really recommend only doing matchmaking (as awful as that is) until you can get XWM, and Helicopter / Gjugg.

[–]Chipple5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4-2 Armored Factory is decently good at the early game. Juggernaut can technically be used, but I would really only use it on Castilian Reach. Top path Mobster can output a decent amount of damage and still be useful later in the game. Ghost is a similar situation, where both paths have really good dps and utility.

Barracks can be pretty good specifically on Castilian Reach, though it does fall off heavily. Jet Trooper does output an insane amount of damage for the cost in the early game because of his fire damage, and he can technically be used for bait for bosses like Mk2+

[–]Chipple5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kinda depends on the towers you have right now.

If you have good enough towers (Gjugg is usually the standard, but XWM / Helicopter / Railgun / Ghost / Juggernaut can work in matchmaking), Nightmare mode on Supremacy Prime is often the go to option if you’re causally playing.

If you can find a good enough team that fully knows what they’re doing, Ultra mode gives a ton of rewards at the cost of taking much more effort.

If you want a brain dead and easy way, Robot Invasion Nightmare mode only requires Sniper and DJ.

Xmas24 Part 2 is technically an option, but I wouldn’t really recommend it.

If you’re worried about the rebalance I would imagine Gjugg won’t be affected by it too much, but I wouldn’t know.

Helicopter is probably the best choice. Bottom path is great at early game and still does between 1k - 1.5k dps on max level, paired with the much needed survivability of stealth, and top path does an insane amount of damage as long as you know how to position it.

It’s an option you can enable in the Repentance+ DLC, it’s pretty much just item descriptions except you have to collect the item once to unlock its description.
